We are excited to announce the Workshop on Intelligent Sports Technologies (WIST), a part of the ACM Multimedia Asia 2023 conference. This unique workshop offers a platform for academia, industry professionals, technologists, and athletes to explore, discuss, and contribute to the cutting-edge intersection of multimedia, artificial intelligence, and sports science.

WIST encourages submissions that leverage the convergence of these domains to enhance sports performance, training, rehabilitation, and audience experiences. We are particularly interested in submissions that are forward-thinking, innovative, and which have the potential to influence the future trajectory of intelligent sports technologies.

Topics of interest for the workshop include but are not limited to:

1) Multimedia Sensing and Capture for Sports: Exploration of novel multimedia sensing techniques, including wearable technology, computer vision, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) in the context of sports

2) Multimedia Analytics in Sports: Use of AI/ML techniques in the analysis of multimedia sports data, including video analysis, image processing, audio processing, motion capture, and event detection.

3) AI-Driven Decision Support Systems in Sports: Research on advanced AI systems, including machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, for decision-making in sports.

Paper format: Submitted papers (.pdf format) must use the ACM Article Template. Please remember to add Concepts and Keywords. Please use the template in traditional double-column format to prepare your submissions. Word users please use "interm-layout.docx", and Latex users please use "sample-sigconf.tex" to format your submissions.

Length: Papers must be no longer than 4 pages, including all text and figures. There is no limit to the pages of references.

Blinding: Paper submissions must conform with the “double-blind” review policy. This means that the authors should not know the names of the reviewers of their papers, and reviewers should not know the names of the authors. Please prepare your paper in a way that preserves anonymity of the authors.

Accepted Paper Presentation and Publication: The accepted workshop paper will be allocated to present physically (unless explicitly requested due to visa or other unavoidable reasons) during the half-day workshop. All the accepted workshop paper will be published in the workshop proceedings.
