Wishboard is a wish list and vision board for iPhone and iPad, made by Serhii Surzhykov ("we"). This page explains what happens to your data.
The short version: your boards live on your device and in your own iCloud account. There is no account to create. A board leaves your device only when you share it, and then only to the people you share it with.
Wishes, photos, prices, links, notes, dates and reminders are stored on your device. If iCloud is on, they sync through Apple iCloud (CloudKit private database) between your devices. That copy is in your Apple account; we cannot read it.
When you invite someone to edit a board, Apple iCloud shares it with them (CloudKit sharing). Apple handles the invitation; we see nothing of it. You can stop sharing at any time.
If you create a gift link, the app publishes a copy of that one board to our server on Cloudflare Workers so friends can open it in a browser: the board's name, its wishes (titles, notes, prices, links, dates, photos), its look, and your name and photo if you added them. The page is not listed or indexed; anyone who has the link can see it.
Friends who reserve a gift may leave a name or stay anonymous. You choose whether you see what is reserved. To let a friend change their mind later, the page remembers the name they typed and their reservation in that friend's own browser (local storage). The page sets no cookies and has no analytics or ads.
Turning the link off, or deleting the board, deletes the page, its photos and its reservations from the server. Cloudflare processes IP addresses to limit abuse, under its own privacy policy.
When you paste a shop link, your device opens that page directly to read the product's name, photo and price. It does not go through our server.
To convert prices, the app downloads public exchange rates. No personal data is sent.
Sentry (EU region) receives crash reports and performance data. Screenshots, view hierarchy, screen text and personal data are switched off.
TelemetryDeck receives anonymous usage signals, such as which screen was opened or that a wish was added. It never receives the content of your wishes.
Apple MetricKit reports app performance, if you share analytics with developers.
Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or renting of data, no profiles.
Wishboard is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Delete a board or the app to delete your data on the device; manage the iCloud copy in iCloud settings; turn off a gift link to delete the page. To ask about or delete anything else, write to sandoya1101@gmail.com.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
