About WISE

WISE is the premier academic research conference for the discussion of Information Systems topics through the lens of economics. It has been the leading conference for research bridging IT, digital transformation, and economics, for over 30 years.

 We expect researchers at WISE 2024 to bring forth cutting-edge research that studies how IT, in all its forms, addresses important business and societal questions. Modern IT-enabled phenomena have wide ranging impacts for consumers, firms, industries, and markets, making this a fascinating time to be an economics of IS researcher.

Submission Portal Opens: June 1st, 2024
Submission Deadline: August 23rd, 2024 (11:59pm PST)
Decision Notification: September 15 September 23rd, 2024

Notes:

• Accepted papers may be scheduled for presentation during the morning or afternoon of Thursday, December 19th, or Friday, December 20th. Please submit only if you can attend and present your work in person on Thursday or Friday, morning or afternoon. Due to the anticipated size and complexity of the conference program, requested changes to the presentation schedule cannot be accommodated.

• Because several aspects of the conference organization timeline are heavily dependent on paper processing timelines, the paper submission deadline (11:59pm PST on August 23rd) cannot be extended.
