חיים גבעון, מייסד חברת ח.ר. גבעון שלימים הפכה להיות וויפרו גבעון, היה אדם שחרט על דגלו את ערכי החדשנות, המקצועיות והיושרה. חיים נולד בתאריך 3 במרץ 1933 בירושלים, בן להדסה וחיים גרוסמן. את אביו, שעל שמו הוא קרוי, לא זכה חיים להכיר, שכן בתאריך 15 בדצמבר 1932 נרצח האב בפיגוע דריסה במחנה יהודה, ירושלים, ונטמן בהר הזיתים (גוש גניזת סת״ם, תת חלקה ז׳, שורה 3, קבר 29).

חיים גדל ברעננה, היה מגרעין המייסדים של קיבוץ רביבים ולאחר מכן עבד באבו רודס. בתחילת שנות השבעים ייסד חיים את חברת ח.ר. גבעון במטרה ליצור חברה מובילה בתחום העיבוד השבבי. הקמת החברה הייתה בעיניו מעשה לחיזוק המפעל הציוני, ובאמצעותה תרם רבות לקליטת עלייה. בזכות הובלתו הערכית והכריזמטית, הפכה החברה לאחת מהמובילות בתחום.

מורשתו:  

חיים האמין בכוחם של אנשים ליצור שינוי חיובי, ושם דגש מיוחד על פיתוח מקצועי ואישי של עובדיו. חזונו והערכים שהנחיל ממשיכים להוות בסיס לעבודה היומיומית בוויפרו גבעון.

זכרונו:

חיים גבעון השאיר אחריו מורשת מרשימה ומפעל חיים שממשיך להתקיים. הוא הקים משפחה לתפארת ונפטר בשיבה טובה ביום 5 באוקטובר 2023. חיים נטמן בלוויה רבת משתתפים בבית העלמין צור שלום, קרית ביאליק. זכרו יישאר חקוק בלבבות כל מי שהכיר אותו, ועבודתו ממשיכה להוות השראה לרבים.

Haim Givon, the founder of H.R. Givon, which later became Wipro Givon, was a man who upheld the values of innovation, professionalism, and integrity. He was born on March 3, 1933, in Jerusalem, to Hadassah and Haim Grossman. Haim was named after his father, whom he never got to meet, as his father was tragically killed in a terrorist attack on December 15, 1932, in Mahane Yehuda, Jerusalem, and was buried on the Mount of Olives (Plot Z, Row 3, Grave 29).

Haim grew up in Ra'anana, was part of the founding group of Kibbutz Revivim, and later worked in Abu Rudeis. In the early 1970s, Haim founded H.R. Givon with the goal of creating a leading company in the field of precision machining. Establishing the company was, in his eyes, an act to strengthen the Zionist enterprise, and through the company, he made significant contributions to the absorption of immigrants. Through his strong and charismatic leadership, the company became one of the leaders in the industry.

His Legacy:

Haim believed in the power of people to create positive change and placed special emphasis on the professional and personal development of his employees. His vision and the values he instilled continue to be the foundation of daily work at Wipro Givon.

Haim Givon left behind an impressive legacy and a life’s work that continues to thrive. He built a beautiful family and passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023. Haim was buried in a large funeral at Tzur Shalom Cemetery, Kiryat Bialik. His memory will remain engraved in the hearts of all who knew him, and his work continues to inspire many.
