Who Are We?
We are a community of women who seek to support each other through mentoring, workshops, and community building events
Women in Physics was started to give a voice to underrepresented groups in physics
Goal: support women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ community pursuing careers in science and technology
We are open to ALL- not just women and not just physicists!
What Do We Do?
Outreach educating students about imposter syndrome and building confidence in the lab and the classroom
Community building with physics majors
Discussions about how to obtain internships and research experience
Discussions about the state of minorities in physics and discussing members experiences in the classroom
Crafts/Activities/Games + Food
Weekly Meetings in JROWL 1C13 on Thursdays from 7-8 PM
