RPI Women in Physics

Welcome to RPI's Women in Physics Website! 

Who Are We?

• We are a community of women who seek to support each other through mentoring, workshops, and community building events

• Women in Physics was started to give a voice to underrepresented groups in physics 

• Goal: support women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ community pursuing careers in science and technology

• We are open to ALL- not just women and not just physicists! 

What Do We Do?

• Outreach educating students about imposter syndrome and building confidence in the lab and the classroom

• Community building with physics majors 

• Discussions about how to obtain internships and research experience

• Discussions about the state of minorities in physics and discussing members experiences in the classroom

• Crafts/Activities/Games + Food
