WHO

• All FORCE Students (1st grade & up) - no matter what style dance you take - are welcome to AUDITION for a CHARACTER GROUP or SOLO*

  • Students who come to auditions will be placed into CHARACTER GROUPS and/or SOLOS based on age/dance skill. All students who audition will get a part, and are required to attend 5 out of 6 rehearsals.

  • *Solos are only available for students in 6th grade or higher

• All BALLET Classes will have characters assigned and will rehearse DURING CLASS TIME.

  • This includes: Ballet I-A, Ballet I-B, Ballet II-A, Ballet II-B, Ballet III, Intensive Ballet & Adult Ballet

  • If your student is in a BALLET class and would like an additional part (Character Group and/or Solo), they must attend auditions. However, if they only want to participate with their ballet class, they do not have to attend auditions. 

• Please Note: Tumbling & Martial Arts students are welcome to audition, but the Character Group assignments will be dance roles. Choreography will be based on casting/skill level, and rest assured the dance will be doable for your student regardless of previous dance experience.

WHEN

• AUDITIONS for CHARACTER GROUPS and SOLOS will be held on Saturday, 9/20 from 1:00-3:00pm.

• REHEARSAL DAYS - Times are TBD based on casting but will be between 9am and 4pm (please block your calendars now):

  • Rehearsals for Character Groups: Saturdays - 10/4, 10/18, 11/1, 11/15*, 11/29, 12/6

    • *11/15 is mandatory - you are able to miss up to 1 of the other dates

    • Held at the main AAD Studio

  • Additional Rehearsal for Ballet Classes: Saturday, 11/15

    • This is mandatory - if you are unable to attend, do not sign up

    • Held at the main AAD Studio

  • Tech Rehearsal, Dress Rehearsal, and SHOW - ALL STUDENTS: 

    • Friday, 12/12 from 5pm-8pm (Tech)

    • Saturday, 12/13 from 10am-1pm (Dress)

    • Saturday, 12/13 from 1:30-3:00pm approx. (Show)

    • These are mandatory - if you are unable to attend, do not sign up

    • Held at the venue (Northmont Community Auditorium)

COSTUMES
We handle our winter recital costumes differently than our spring performance. Costumes will be rented to each dancer by the studio for the dress rehearsal and the show, and must be returned immediately following the show. Any missing costumes or accessories will be subject to additional fees if not returned. 

COST
Fees are per student and cover the rental of costumes, Saturday rehearsal times, and tech/dress rehearsal times. These will be billed to your account by 10/15/25 and charged to your card on file with your November tuition (11/1/25).

• $60 for 1 ballet class

• $90 for 1 character group piece

• $120 for 1 ballet class & 1 character group piece

• $120 for 1 piece (ballet or character group) & 1 solo

• $150 for 2 pieces (ballet or character group) & 1 solo
