This is my first major win; I'm relishing those moments and seeing everyone around me happy, my happiness is only growing. I was numb when the winner was being announced. I wanted to be prepared for the worst but at the same time, I was hopeful, too. It was a mixed feeling.

We wanted to ensure that no genre is being repeated while selecting or presenting the songs. I was initially scared to attempt Aila Aila but had to work harder for that song. Kanyakumari, Konchem Neeru Koncham Nippu, and Romeo Juliet la songs also needed that extra effort in terms of expression and memorising lyrics as well. We have to play smart, safe, take calculated risks at times to ensure our song comes out great.

There were comments that I'm only made for classical and bold songs. But I started ignoring them and focussed on my things because I believed they would be proven wrong one day. I did not feel the need to make space for that. Now, I've realised that there is a lot to learn. After coming to Telugu Indian Idol, I got the enthusiasm to learn. I think I have confirmed my birth as a singer in the film industry. I have sung in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Tamil, and my songs are well known. I have sung a few Tamil songs for well-known composers which will be out in January. So far, it is going good as a playback singer.
