If your kids like Among Us, but you have had enough of them constantly using electronic devices, why not send them outside to play the wink murder version without a screen! Don't be concerned if you haven't heard of it before, as far as I'm aware, my kids and I just invented it a couple weekends ago (Dear InnerSloth LLC: the license is available if you're reading this).

Just like in regular wink murder, the kids now wander around looking in each other's eyes (from afar) to see if anyone will wink at them. If they receive a wink, they should count slowly to at least ten in their head (no more than twenty), then act out their death. When someone notices (which will likely be pretty soon), they can yell "REPORT" to report the murder. Then pause the game.

I'm trying to set up a toy application (which may turn in to a real application someday). I'm running into a problem with Wink and Jackson. I've got two applications: one runs wink-server on jetty and seems to be providing some JSON data just fine; one runs wink-client on jetty and receives the JSON data just fine. The problem lies in automagically deserializing the JSON data back into my Java bean.

Step 2: In your action, create a org.apache.wink.client.ClientConfig for your org.apache.wink.client.RestClient. This allows you add the org.codehaus.jackson.jaxrs.JacksonJsonProvider to your providers list.

I gave up on wink about 2 years ago when Phillips sent me. Free starter pack direct from the Netherlands! To test out! I took all the wink lights offline ASAP and never looked back! It was full of issues with connectivity lights not working etc

I have been singing this tune on reddit for a while now myself. Wink is done. It just is. I actually got banned from the wink reddit from posting anymore because i tried to warn people to leave it now.

I hate tell everybody this but Wink only relies on the internet to setup devices, groups and robots. but the wink app and relays still operates everything as a manual control. you just wont see robots operate.. I have been using Wink since they first came out and have never see it operate under any situation.

I just switched from wink to HomeSeer. My biggest concern with Wink is if they did unexpectedly shut down their service that I would be unable to exclude my zwave devices from the hub which would effectively render them useless. The HomeTroller is only $99 and runs everything locally unlike SmartThings (which I used before Wink).

After Wink suddenly announced the switch to a subscription I spent the equivalent of 10 months wink subscription and bought a smart thing hub. It was a great decision. The smart thing is smaller, broader reach and easier to use. Dump wink.

I think you could be getting the popcorn effect in your blinds. Look up @Cobra 's apps. He might have one to help with this issue. BUT ...

Get that wink hub turned off. Then repair your network. They run on the same frequency for zwave because zwave has it's own frequency. No channels. So .. yah .. move the rest of your stuff. Then get that hub turned off just to eliminate the possibility of that possibly being the possible issue.

Then you can assess your mesh correctly. Repeaters are good if you don't have a lot of zwave devices. The HE mesh likes a robust network, so .. yah ... that wink hub. OFF

are the 3 main JARs. wink-common contains code that is required on both the server and client side. So if you only want to work with the server side code, you can use the wink-common and wink-server JARs. If you only want to build a client, you only need wink-common and wink-client.

Thanks Alzcore397, but Flash Reviver has already patched WLM 2009 and the problem still exists.

The Winks worked fine with the use of Flash Reviver before this new Windows update. Since then my friend can send or receive only 1 wink without singing out and in again.

We are sure that this Flash-killer update ruined her Winks, because she can see in the update history that a new update was installed few days ago and in the details it shows that this update is to completely remove any and every Flash related content from her PC. And exactly since then the winks have this problem.

The problem is the same with the default winks. Only the first one works, and the others freeze on the screen and disappear only if the conversation window is closed and opened again or by signing out and in again.
