Our concierge-style customer service team is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We have a large assortment of corporate gifts, with volume discounts for bulk orders. In-house basket designers can custom create arrangements for multiple orders, and we can personalize any gift basket with a custom ribbon message, including your business logo.
If you want your basket to have a more exposed look, set your bottles on a bed of shredded, colorful paper or tissue paper. Then secure them by strategically placing your other gift basket items around the bottles. Finally, wrap clear or colorful cellophane around the entire basket and tie it up with a fancy bow.
To keep the wine suspense high, use bottle gift wrap to cover just the wine bottles, and then secure your items around it as described. Or, to be both practical and stylish, wrap the bottles in decorative cloths or napkins. Either tie them at the top or secure them with wine bottle rings.
Traditional Basket Presses work by pressing the pomace from the top of the holding basket down by using a heavy, cast iron, ratcheting mechanism. Basket presses are affordable and time-tested, but there are a few drawbacks. During pressing they develop a pocket of juice in the center of the basket which needs to be broken up and repressed to get all of the wine out. In addition, the pressing forces required by basket presses are usually much higher than for bladder presses. As a result, it is very easy to get harsh and aggressive characteristics from over pressing the seeds and skins. Finally, basket presses are difficult to sanitize and heavy to move around. In our own winery, Olin Wines, we stopped using a basket press the first time we used a bladder press. The ease of use, quality of the pressed wine (we no longer need to separate the free-run from the pressed wine), and no longer needing to re-pack the press to get all of the wine out made the decision to stop using the basket press very easy!
Basket presses are available as a special order and are ordered during our Annual PreSeason Sale.

Pamper Mom on her day with special treats. Fill a basket with a bottle of red, a bottle of white, and a variety of delicious treats. Put chocolate truffles, fresh nuts, cheese, and crackers in the basket. Don't forget the wine glasses.
Customize the basket to suit your Mom's interests. Does she like to garden? Add bright garden gloves and a sunhat. Choose unbreakable wine glasses she can use outside. Use a large decorative flower pot as the container.
Start with an engraved wine box. It makes a lovely keepsake for the couple. You can find a wine box locally and have it engraved, or buy one online. Engrave the box with their names and wedding date. You can find wine boxes that hold one, two or three bottles. Make this the centerpiece of your gift.
Next, add custom etched wine glasses. Commemorate the special day with monogrammed glasses. Use their new initials, Mr. and Mrs., or the wedding date. Or, you can choose a greeting or quote for their lives together.
Are you trying to win a new client? Present the wine in a branded container to keep your company top of mine with your potential client. You can include promotional items like branded wine openers or stemless wine glasses.
Start with several bottles of different wine. Include cheese and crackers that pair well with each wine. It's best to save complex wines like Cabernet Sauvignon for later. Choose a Pinot Noir for beginners.
Want to take your gift up a notch? Add a private wine tasting. Most vineyards offer private tasting sessions for groups of 8 to 50 people. The tasting includes guidance and education by a wine expert.
There are plenty of wine tools and accessories to personalize a gift. Wine openers vary from simple corkscrews to legacy wine openers used by collectors. Each one is available at a different price point.

A fiasco (/fiˈÃskoÊŠ/; Italian: [ˈfjasko], plural: fiaschi) is a typical Italian style of bottle, usually with a round body and bottom, partially or completely covered with a close-fitting straw basket.
The basket is typically made of sala, a swamp weed, sun-dried and blanched with sulfur. The basket provides protection during transportation and handling, and also a flat base for the container. Thus the glass bottle can have a round bottom, which is much simpler to make by glass blowing.
Boccaccio mentions the fiasco in the Decameron (around 1350), as a receptacle for red wine and administrative documents of the time mention the profession of fiascaio ("fiasco-maker"). Common fiasco sizes of the time were the quarto ("quarter", 5.7 liters), mezzo quarto ("half quarter", 2.28 liters), and metadella ("small half", 1.4 liters).
By the early 20th century, the manufacture of fiaschi employed about 1000 glass blowers and 30,000 basket weavers. A manufacturer's association (Comissionaria Industria Fiaschi) was established at Empoli in 1933. Starting in the 1950s the manufacture of bottles and baskets was increasingly automated.
At the same time, the Bordeaux-style bottle (bordolese) was becoming more popular among wine producers, displacing the fiasco. However, a 1965 law reserved the fiasco for wines of legally controlled denomination (Denominazione di Origine Controllata), restoring the prestige of that classical container.
The straw bands can be vertical or horizontal; the former was traditionally used for fiaschi destined to local markets, while the latter, with a reinforced base and more careful weaving, was chiefly used for export. The latter often used a basket of whitened straw, decorated with two stripes tinted in the Italian flag colors (red and green).
The base is a torus made of scrap straw, tied with fine straw blades (salicchio). Centuries ago, the basket often included one or more handles of twisted straw; they are sometimes included in present-day fiaschi, often for decorative purposes only.
In the United States we are used to wines being named after the grapes they are made from. Chardonnay, for instance is made from chardonnay grapes. In Europe the wines have been named for the region where they are grown. This is because where they are grown, the climate, rainfall, soil and other elements of the region result in completely different wines even when they are from the same grapes. Compare a French Chablis with a California chardonnay, for example. Both are made from the chardonnay grape, but are worlds apart in flavor. Then sample a French Montrachet. Same grape again, but a world of difference.
