Windows 10 Download Evaluation

We currently package our virtual machines for four different virtualization software options: VMWare, Hyper-V (Gen2), VirtualBox, and Parallels.These virtual machines contain an evaluation version of Windows that expires on the date posted. If the evaluation period expires, the desktop background will turn black, you will see a persistent desktop notification indicating that the system is not genuine, and the PC will shut down every hour.

@Doris2020 Did you select the ISO to download from -us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-server-2019? As I said in my first reply, we cannot reproduce the issue using the image posted there. It does not prompt for a key. Can you provide any more details about your experience?

1. if you have downloaded evaluation version from Microsoft Volume License Service Center, then you can buy license from any authorize partner under Microsoft Open license program, and you get the key for activation which you can use for this evaluation version to activate.

2. If you downloaded this evaluation version from Microsoft.com, Then the above solution will not work and you can actually buy OEM license from any authorize partner and contact Microsoft activation support to activate the same.

If you download an evaluation version from the Evaluation Center, you can convert it to a production version by purchasing a retail key. From there, you can convert it to a volume license. However, you cannot convert an evaluation version to a volume version directly.

Is there a way to upgrade from windows server 2016 standard license ( no EVALUATION) to windows server 2019 using ISO method without the need to activate it in a second moment once the upgrade is over?

I am transitioning to a new job role that will focus heavily on using SCCM to keep end points patched, configuring applications, etc. My previous job role didn't focus on anything in particular really but i have been always interested in SCCM. Anyway i have setup a test lab for learning all i can about SCCM in a test environment as to not break crap in production. The issue is that when i downloaded the evaluation copy of LTSC 2021 from Microsoft and the license is automatically expired.

Am i doing something wrong? Anyway to reactivate this evaluation copy of windows. I am wanting to practice doing a "Build and Capture" deployment. Honestly if i can accomplish this with it being expired that works to. I don't plan on actually using this image except for in a test environment.

I'm using windows 10, and the requirements for the software say It's for windows 7, so it's possible that is the issue, but I'm confused as to how I should workaround that. If that isn't the problem, what should I do?

There are three short wavelength infrared (SWIR) optical windows outside the conventionally used first near-infrared (NIR) window (650 to 950 nm). They occur in the 1000- to 2500-nm range and may be considered second, third, and fourth NIR windows. KB article 948472 describes the process for Windows Server 2008 and includes instructions on installing an evaluation version of Windows Server 2008 from the standard media as well has how to set up a recurring task in Windows Task Scheduler to extend the evaluation period to 240 days.

Evaluating Windows Server 2008 software does not require product activation. Any edition of Windows Server 2008 may be installed without activation, and it may be evaluated for 60 days. Additionally, the 60-day evaluation period may be reset (re-armed) three times. This action extends the original 60-day evaluation period by up to 180 days for a total possible evaluation time of 240 days.

Despite this trick, it is correct and not contrary to the Microsoft license terms to convert the evaluation version to the normal one. To do this, you will need to run the command prompt as an administrator and follow the instructions below.
