• White spotting that ONLY appears on BLACK-based markings and coat areas. It can be quite minimal, or cover almost all black areas leaving only thin outlines of original color.

• When paired with Charred, it mimicks the patterns of African Wild Dogs.

• In coats like brown and bay, it may cover all areas of the body due to the black mixed into the fur (though it may look diluted in mixed fur). In coats like sable and wolf, it will be restricted to the black areas of the coat and will not affect red-based areas.

• Skin is not affected. Eyes are not affected. In hooved creatures, mane and tail are white where affected.

• Not to be confused with Vitiligo, a mutation that causes pigment loss over time from black fur until all black pigment is gone. Smoked is white appearing in specific areas and does not spread after reaching adulthood.
