Roan

KIT Series

All of the genes in the KIT series connect to the same locus, meaning creatures can only carry two of these genes in a series at most. For example, they can be ToSb (ne Tobiano and one Sabino gene), Sbn (One Sabino gene), or SbSb (Two Sabino genes). But they can't be ToToSb because that's too many KIT genes!

They are codominant, meaning that if a creature carries two different KIT genes, the effects of both will show. Having two copies of the same gene generally causes it white from it to cover more of the body.

Roan | Rn_

White hairs are scattered fairly evenly over the entire body except for the face and legs, creating much paler looking fur.
Neck and tail may or may not be affected
May look uniformly paler or faintly ticked, but will remain visible.
Roaning may be partially incomplete but will not naturally have gaps unless caused by injury or Ticking series genes.
Skin breaking injuries cause fur to grow back without roan, even if there is no scar.
In hooved creatures, mane and tail are not affected.
