• Basically a tabby cat without stripes.

• Can range from red, gray, orange, brown, nearly white to nearly black.

• Underbelly either paler than top or a shade of red. Ears may also be this shade.

• Darker color if present tends to concentrate on the forehead, shoulder, and hips. Black "top" coloration may be ticked.

• Always has some red on snout, a pale "bib" and eye sockets. Eye spots may not be affected like the rest of the socket.

• Red nose may be very distinct or blend with the red of the rest of the coat.

• In black phase coats, countershading will be visible but bib, nose and eye spots may blend almost completely.

• May have darker socks. May be gradiented top-bottom or bottom-top.

• Black skin.

• In hooved creatures: Red mane and tail.

• Barbary coated krowleus may have a black/red or fully black mane.
