Affects Base Coat and Markings
Cream affects red AND black, reducing the amount of color the body is able to produce. Two cream genes will reduce color even more.
It is more effective at reducing red hair than black, and may not be noticeable on black unless CrCr is present.
CrCr (double cream) causes pink skin if an 'A series' gene is present.
nCr (one copy of the gene) does not cause blue eyes, but CrCr (two copies) may.
In hooved creatures, Cream will dilute a red mane and tail to white. It may partically dilute a brown or black mane and tail in CrCr form.
The following are simple examples on Black, Bay, and Red bases, to offer an idea how nCr and CrCr affect black, red, and mixed patterns.
In a wolf agouti, for example, red areas would look like cream on red, and black areas would look like cream on black
