Family Friendly Service
Over the past several years we've had a handful of people inquiry about programming for families. Since February we've been experimenting with a family-friendly service. We will continue to offer this service through the summer and possibly beyond that time, depending on our community's level of interest.
The service starts with a 20 minute story and conversation time followed by 3 ten minute seated mindfulness and meditation periods with standing and stretching in between and a brief chanting practice to conclude the service. There is time for socializing with other families after the service. The entire service runs from 9:00-10:30. Families of all types with children of all ages are welcome to attend on these days. We request that children in attendance are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Questions? Please email email@example.com.

Mindfulness for Parents
This gathering will be a collective exploration of how teachings and practices from mindfulness and Buddhist traditions can support your journey as a parent. Each month we will read a short text and then come together to discuss the reading and how it applies to our lives. The discussion is followed by an optional 20 minute meditation to put the teachings into practice.
This group is open to all parents--those who are familiar with Buddhist teachings and are wondering how they apply to parenthood, those who are unfamiliar with mindfulness practices and are looking for some strategies to support the challenges of parenting, and those who are somewhere in between. You are welcome to join for the whole series of gatherings or just for one.
This group will meet once per month through June on the following dates. Please RSVP in advance so we know how many people to expect. We will run each session with a minimum of three people.
