In the interest of providing broader language access, DOR is offering guides on how to use third-party software to translate content on the mass.gov website, MassTaxConnect, CSE Case Manager and other DOR content. However, these translations are only an approximation of DOR content. DOR does not guarantee the accuracy, or reliability of computerized translations. In addition, some applications, files, or items cannot be translated, including graphs, photos or images. If any questions or disputes arise concerning the accuracy of the information in translated versions of DOR content, the English language version controls.

For English-speaking people, problems of this kind are not very clear. However, try, for example, to go to a German forum and understand something there without speaking German. Or on the Russian-language forum. To quickly translate from an unfamiliar language, Google Translate is used. And it is completely broken on this forum and many other forums using Discourse.

No, this is definitely not a language confusion problem. Google translate has long been able to properly separate and translate this.

In my case, I checked it without even logging into the forum. In this case, only 1 language is used in the interface and content. And my interface language here is English.

Surprisingly, when I created this thread, I checked all the translation methods here and on forum.ghost.org. The translation did not work either there or here. Now I have checked forum.ghost.org again and the translation was possible with the help of the official plugin and with the help of the translator built into Chrome. Translation via google.translate.com also does not work. I try this site and the translation works unpredictably (the official plugin translates some pages and some not).

There are still problems with the google translate site (I already found questions about this problem here) and problems with the official google translate extension for browsers that do not have a built-in translator. This is less of a problem, but still a problem for me because I am not using Chrome, but using the Brave browser due to security issues.

At the moment, I can say that the official google translate plugin cannot translate this forum, but forum.ghost.org does translate without problems. Perhaps the matter is in what forum settings or styles.

I have not checked the entire list, but it is obvious that only a small part of these forums can be easily translated if the visitor has a Chromium browser installed (for example Brave) with the official google translate plugin. I have no doubt that some of the blame lies with this plugin, but it is absolutely useless to point google about this. A critical issue with the plugin only occurs with the Discourse engine (most Discourse forums, but not all) and discussions.apple.com forums.

Google Translate for Chrome is a free productivity tool that enables you to easily translate while surfing the web. Developed by Google, this handy browser extension is a more compact and convenient version of the Google Translate website, as you can simply click on its extension icon to open up a text box and start translating without opening another tab.

Google Translate is a free online service by Google that instantly translates words, phrases, and webpages between English and over 100 other languages. Starting from a dedicated website, it quickly became an integrated service found on Google Search and went on to become a mobile app, as well. While some text and even slang can become lost in the robotic and rigid translations, the beauty of this software is that you can contribute to its catalog and improve the translations yourself.

I have the same question as this 2019 query. Looking to see if it is possible to quantify the instances of page being viewed in another language when the visitor is using the translate feature on Chrome.

I was able to turn off the translator by r-clicking a previously translated post. The pop-up window reappears and I ended the hyperactive forum-wide translating. This makes using the translator sorta similar to the one added to Google Groups.

Ok, now is working.

I was using kde, and kde locale were set at spanish, so I expected google-chrome should use my kde locale.

I was wrong. Google-chrome uses systems locale, wich where set at english (can be checked using "locale" command)

Fortunately, Google offers a quick and easy way to translate not just text but entire webpages in a few clicks. Here, we will explain how to translate whole webpages into any language and change how you browse the web using Google Translate.

Many online tools allow you to translate webpages. Here, there are two ways to use the web-based service Google Translate: its translation pop-up and Chrome extension. Here is how you can use either to translate webpages:

When you enter a website in a foreign language, the translation pop-up will automatically appear in the address bar. The webpage should automatically translate to the preferred language you have set. If you need to use the pop-up again, simply click the icon.

The pop-up has an Ellipsis (the three vertical dots) that gives you five options, including choosing another language and always or never translating a specific language. Once you have translated a webpage, you can navigate the site and read the content without issues.

You can easily install and add Google Translate to your Chrome browser for free. With this extension, you can translate text by highlighting and clicking the small icon to reveal the original and translated word. And you can, of course, translate websites.

You can efficiently turn Google Translate on and off by clicking the toggle. In addition, you can choose your preferred language to translate to and add or remove languages to automatically or never translate.

Extension developers would like to be able to translate the text of pages.Transforming arbitrary DOM trees into blocks of text of suitable length fortranslation is hard, and potentially time consuming if done naively. Noticingdynamic updates to the page is also difficult to do correctly. Also, modifyingthe content of text nodes may confuse some web applications who weren'texpecting mutation events to occur (this is probably a minor problem though).

Expose an API that can feed an extension process blocks of text to translate.Chromium takes care of the hard work of creating nice blocks of text, removinghtml tags, noticing dynamic updates, handling races between the extension andrenderer process, and modifying the text of the page in the most compat-friendlyway.

Text Blaze is a productivity tool that helps you insert GPT-generated text in any website or app (via Chrome or Windows). Using Text Blaze, you can translate languages using ChatGPT and insert the text with only a few presses on your keyboard. Not only that, but you can use Text Blaze's GPT integration to write emails, send LinkedIn messages, correct typos and grammar, and much more.

Everyone wants to learn a new language; many make it a New Year's resolution. But if you don't have time to crack open the books, there's another way to learn: Toucan. This Chrome extension doesn't just translate the content you read, it actually introduces words from the language you're trying to learn seamlessly so you can start recognizing them and building up your vocabulary. It also has a text-to-speech feature that'll help you learn pronunciation.

These are just some of our favorite online translation tools for Chrome. Don't spend your time on the Chrome store searching for google translate, translate google addon, page translation extension. How to set up the little pop-up bar down below the screen, which generates a quick Google search whenever a word or phrase has been highlighted, to automatically translate what has been selected. That was my original setup but I guess I have messed up some settings and now it doesn't translate. How can I turn it back on?

Google Chrome lets you automatically translate a webpage not written in your browser's default language. Like most online translation software, though, it can be a little unreliable. If you don't need it---or if you use a different translation service---here's how to turn Chrome's off.

When navigating to a site that's automatically been translated by Chrome, a Google Translate icon appears in the Omnibox. To see what's available for the site or language-specific options, click the Translate icon.

From here, you can choose to "Show Original" to translate the page back into the original language, or you can click the dropdown "Options" button for a few other choices, like having it always translate the language, never translate the language, or never translate the current site. You also can change language settings.

If you have more than one language added to your browser, Chrome will normally just offer to translate web pages to your browser's primary language. By default Chrome's translating of additionally added languages is turned off, but if you'd rather Chrome handle these languages as well, click more (three dots next to a language) next to the language, and tick the "Offer to translate pages in this language" setting. This lets Chrome translate specific languages for you in the future.

One way to disable it is to do so from Chrome browser settings. Turn off "Offer to translate pages that aren't in a language you read" as below. Be noted, this approach will disable Google Translate not only Pega app but any other web sites. Also, this operation has to be done per client PC, which is a lot of work.

// This code is used in conjunction with the Google Translate Element script.

// It is executed in an isolated world of a page to translate it from one

// language to another.

// It should be included in the page before the Translate Element script. ff782bc1db
