The Wind in the Willows Written by Kenneth Grahame and narrated by Michael Hordern. This is a "Soundtrack Edition" audiobook. I haven't listened to it yet, but I should note that some people may find the background music/effects annoying or distracting, but, I can't argue with the price.

This audiobook includes unabridged recordings of A.A. Milne's first two collections of Pooh stories, Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner. Adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood include rescuing Pooh from a tight situation, discovering the North Pole and saving Piglet from the Great Flood in an upturned umbrella. And then we return to the Hundred Acre Wood in A.A. Milne's second collection of Pooh stories, The House at Pooh Corner. Joining them for the first time is the bounciest of them all, Tigger, who leads us into unforgettable adventures.

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Heidi by Johanna Spyri, read by Gemma Whelan. Little Heidi goes to live with her grandfather in his lonely hut high in the Alps, and she quickly learns to love her new life. But her strict aunt decides to send her away again to live in the town. Heidi cannot bear being away from the mountains and is determined to return to the happiness of life with her grandfather.

I recently listened to the audiobook for The Secret Garden and The Wind in the Willows. I highly enjoyed both of them, and figured, why do one long review for each, when I could combine them and do two short reviews? Laziness always wins.

Read by Stephen Fry, actor, director, author and popular audiobook reader, and Martin Freeman, who played Arthur Dent in film version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He is well known as Tim in The Office.

First published in 1907, The Wind in the Willows is a true classic for all ages about the timeless adventures of Mole, Rat Badger and Toad and their life on the river. When the timid Mole goes boating with his friend the Rat instead of doing his spring cleaning, it leads to plenty of fun and action as they come across the grumpy Badger and the incorrigible Toad, whose obsession with motor cars and speed leads to hilarious trouble.  Kenneth Grahame - Author   Terry Jones - Narrator   Publisher: Phoenix Books, Inc. 'Or something very surprising and splendid and beautiful,' murmured the Rat, leaning back and closing his eyes. 'I feel just as you do, Mole; simply dead tired, though not body tired. It's lucky we've got the stream with us, to take us home. Isn't it jolly to feel the sun again, soaking into one's bones! And hark to the wind playing in the reeds!'
