The dog days of summer

Xiàtiān de sān fútiān
simply mean very hot summer days.
簡單地說，它是指非常炎熱的夏天。
Jiǎndān de shuō, tā shì zhǐ fēicháng yánrè de xiàtiān.

The Romans believed it added to the sun's heat.
