What is the AAUP? At Williams College, AAUP is a platform for faculty advocacy and solidarity — an independent faculty organization that can coordinate and mobilize faculty around the issues that matter to us and speak in a unified voice. It also allows us to access resources from a national organization, while not being beholden to them. We work together to push forward the issues that matter to us including health and child care costs, academic freedom, faculty governance, and more.
To join our chapter, join AAUP - because this is a professional organization and (for us) not a union, you may pay for it as you would any other professional society or organization you belong to.
