I am a doctoral candidate in Economics at Aalto University. My research interests are in environmental economics, industrial organization and transportation. I expect to submit my PhD thesis by the end of 2026.

In my doctoral dissertation I develop and structurally estimate a model of car replacement and driving. The key contribution of the model is that transaction costs are heterogeneous and driver-specific, which rationalizes the variation in car holding patterns observed in the Finnish car market. The model is used as a tool to predict driving emissions levels under different emissions-reducing policy scenarios. 

I begun doctoral studies in 2020 under the supervision of Matti Liski (Aalto), with Juan-Pablo Montero (PUC Chile) and Prottoy Akbar (Aalto) as thesis supervisors. In the fall semester 2024 I  was a visiting student at the Toulouse School of Economics, hosted by Mathias Reynaert.
