This Privacy Policy explains what data is used when you use Will It Rain? (the "Application"), why it is used, and with whom it may be shared.
1. Location Data
The Application requests approximate or precise location permission to check the precipitation forecast for your area, display your current locality, and
send rain or snow alerts when enabled.
Your location is stored locally on your device together with a forecast cache. We do not create accounts, store location history on our own server, or sell
your location data.
To obtain the forecast, the Application sends the necessary coordinates to the weather providers MET Norway and, only when appropriate to improve the forecast, WeatherAPI. Please review their privacy policies at:

2. Notifications
If you enable alerts, the Application requests permission to display notifications. This permission is used exclusively to notify you about forecast rain or snow. Notifications do not include coordinates, an exact address, or advertising.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The ad-supported version displays a banner through Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect or process information such as your IP address, device or advertising identifiers, interactions with advertisements and the Application, and diagnostic information. This data may be used to display, measure, personalize — where permitted by law and your choices — and protect advertising against fraud.

In regions where required, applicable consent options will be displayed before data is used for personalized advertising.
4. In-App Purchases
The Application may offer an in-app purchase to remove advertisements. Payments and transaction management are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store complete card details or other payment information. We only use the purchase status to enable the ad-free version and allow purchases to be restored.

5. Google Play Ratings
The Application may request a rating through the native Google Play flow after several launches. The request and any rating are managed by Google Play; the Application does not receive the content of your review.
6. Data We Do Not Collect Directly
We do not require registration or an account. We do not directly collect your name, email address, telephone number, contacts, photos, files, messages, financial data, or health data. We also do not operate our own backend for storing personal data.
7. Security and Retention
Local configuration, location, and cache information is retained on your device for as long as necessary for the Application to function, or until you clear the Application's data or uninstall it. Communications with weather providers and Google services use encrypted connections when those services provide them.
8. Children
The Application is not intentionally directed at children under 13 and does not seek to collect children's personal data. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can evaluate the situation.
9. Your Choices
You can revoke location or notification permissions from Android settings. You can also delete local data by uninstalling the Application or deleting its data from the device settings. Advertising preferences and identifier controls are managed through Android and Google.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Application's features or the services it uses change. We will publish the updated version on this same page and indicate the new effective date.
