Economist | Macroeconomics · Financial Markets · Public Policy · Latin America
Senior economist with over 15 years of experience spanning central banking, capital markets, and multilateral consulting across Latin America. As Head of the Short-Term Analysis Department at the Central Bank of Chile (2015–2017), I led the team responsible for GDP and inflation nowcasting and contributed directly to the Monetary Policy Reports (IPoM) and Board decision-making. Since returning to Paraguay, I have held senior roles at Puente Casa de Bolsa and BASA Capital, covering macroeconomic analysis, investment strategy, and client advisory for institutional investors. I currently serve as a member of Chile’s Advisory Committee for the Copper Reference Price.
My research agenda covers fiscal multipliers, labor market informality, automation in developing economies, and climate shocks, with publications in Labour Economics, International Review of Economics & Finance, Applied Economics Letters, and Empirical Economics. I collaborate regularly with the IDB, CAF, and ILO on policy analysis and impact evaluation projects.
