Donegal Sea Pictures

Olive McGovern is a visual artist based on the long and winding peninsular of St. John's Point, located in South West Donegal, along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Inspired by the Atlantic Ocean, Olive creates unique 3D collage pictures with sea-shells, sea-glass and sea-pottery collected from local beaches after the many Atlantic winter storms.

She harvests seaweed over the bleak winter months and uses it as a central theme in her pictures.

Olive aims to recreate the beautiful imagery and colours that are found on Donegal beaches. She also creates stunning felted pictures of Donegal landscapes and seascapes.

Every Donegal Sea Picture contains a natural piece of Donegal and will take you back wherever you are in the world, to our little piece of heaven along the Wild Atlantic way.
