1. Information Collection and Use
WiFiShield Auditor is designed with a "local-first" philosophy. We do not collect or store any of your personal information on our own servers.
Types of Data Accessed:
Wi-Fi Network Information: The app accesses SSIDs, BSSIDs, and signal strength to perform security audits.
Local Network Data: To identify connected devices (LAN Scanner), the app performs local pings and hostname resolution.
PDF Reports: The app generates PDF files which are saved in your device's private storage or Documents folder.
2. Device Permissions
To function correctly, the app requires the following permissions:
Location Services: Mandatory on Android to perform Wi-Fi scanning. We do not track your physical location or store GPS history.
Nearby Devices: Used for network discovery on modern Android versions.
Storage Access: Used solely for saving the security reports you choose to generate.
3. Third-Party Services (Advertising)
We use Google AdMob to show advertisements to help fund the development of this app.
AdMob may collect and use device identifiers and other data for personalized or non-personalized advertising purposes.

4. Local Data Security
All audit results, historical scans, and findings are stored in a private database on your mobile device. We do not transmit this data to any external server.
5. User Rights (Data Deletion)
Users have full control over their data. You can permanently delete all locally stored history and results directly within the application by navigating to Settings > Data Management > Delete All Local Data.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
