  • Built-in offline OUI database (45,000+ entries) to identify router manufacturers (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Mikrotik, Apple, etc.) by BSSID.

How it Works

1. General Tools:

Features like Latency Monitor, Ping, Vendor Lookup, and Speedtest work immediately upon launch. No additional setup is required.

2. Deep Monitoring (RSSI & Noise):

Due to iOS system protections (Sandboxing), detailed real-time Wi-Fi metrics (like Noise and exact RSSI history) are restricted for standard apps.

To unlock these professional metrics, WiFi Prober utilizes an Apple Shortcut extension.

• The app will prompt you to install the "WiFi Monitor Agent" shortcut.

• This shortcut runs in the background and safely streams system network data to the app's dashboard via a secure App Group.

Common Troubleshooting:

• Issue: "Graph says Waiting for data..."

• Solution: Make sure you have installed the Shortcut from the Settings menu and tapped the "Start" button.

• Issue: "AR Mode is dark"

• Solution: Ensure you have granted Camera permissions in iOS Settings.

Privacy Policy

Privacy Commitment:

WiFi Prober connects to local gateways and external servers (like yandex.ru/google.com) solely for the purpose of measuring latency (Ping/RTT).

• We do not collect, store, or share your personal data, location, or browsing history.

• All network data (SSID, BSSID, IP) remains locally on your device.

• The OUI database is stored offline.
