Wifi Monitor collects information about you when you install and use our mobile applications and through your other interactions and communications with us. This Privacy Policy applies to anyone anywhere in the world who uses our App or otherwise interacts or communicates with us. If at any time you do not agree to this policy, you must refrain from installing our app, or, if you have already installed our app, please do not use it and delete it. By installing or using our app, you agree to our collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

The main function of our app is to crowdsource information about WiFi hotspots from our users and make this information available to our users to help them find and access hotspots.

Therefore, we collect the geographic locations of hotspots, as well as the names and addresses of the premises where they are located. For each hotspot, we collect its router IP (remote IP) address, BSSID, SSID, password protection status, and (if applicable) password. By uploading a hotspot password through our App, you represent and warrant to us that you are the owner of the hotspot, or have been authorized by the hotspot owner to upload the password through our App. If you are not the owner of a hotspot, and you have not been authorized by the hotspot owner to upload the password through our App, you are not allowed to upload the password of the hotspot. We also collect information about WiFi signal strength, horizontal and vertical accuracy, speed test information, captive portal mode, and when your mobile device is connected to a specific hotspot.

The hotspot data we collect is made available to our other users through our application.

We also collect information about users and their mobile devices and networks. When you install and use our App, we collect (a) your email address, (b) your Google, Facebook or other social network data (to the extent available), (c) ) your age range, (d) your country, language and time zone, (e) the make, model, operating system, resolution, device ID, advertising ID and MAC address of your mobile device (if applicable), (f) ) name of your mobile operator and speed test information about mobile network performance and (g) other applications installed on your mobile device. When our app is installed on your mobile device, we regularly track your precise geographic location, whether or not you use our app. When you use our app, we collect your search query, including the cities and places you search for.

We may use the information collected to:

Provide, maintain and improve our Services, develop new features and send product updates and administrative information;

Perform internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing and research;

To send you or recommend advertisements and other communications that we think will be of interest to you, and to otherwise personalize our services.

We do not knowingly collect or store personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 unless permitted by law. By installing or using our app, you represent and warrant to us that you are at least 13 years old. If we become aware that we have received personally identifiable information from a person under the age of 13, we will use reasonable efforts to delete that information from our records.

We may share information we collect, including WiFi hotspot information and user information, including personally identifiable information, with third parties under license or other arrangements. These third parties may use this information for research and commercial purposes, including advertising and mobile web and hotspot performance testing. Without limiting the generality of this paragraph, additional information about the information we share with certain third-party partners is set out below.

In response to a request for information from a competent authority if we believe the disclosure is in compliance with or required by any applicable law, regulation or legal process;

We only retain the following data related to your account:

Total bytes transferred in 30 days.

The timestamp of your last activity on our VPN network.

This data is used to enforce free tier restrictions, prevent abuse, and clear inactive accounts.

Our custom system completely eliminates the need to store data. This data only resides in the server's memory while you are connected and is discarded by the VPN server as soon as you disconnect. Since it's not logged into a permanent database, there's nothing to delete.

We only require a username and password when you sign up for our services. Email is available if you would like to be able to retrieve your password if you forget it and to receive regular service updates.

Since we store the bare minimum for customers to actually use our services, any request for user data will not yield any value. Since we don't store any historical logs about who used which IP address, and since IPs are shared by tens/hundreds of people at any given moment, we cannot tie any activity to a specific account.

Your continued use of our application after any such update will constitute your consent to the changes.
