I one day had a brainstorm and wondered if it was an issue with the automatic channel switching at the wifi router....logged into router and set it to a set specific channel that had less traffic....BINGO no more network disconnect and actually better throughput in general!

My wife bought phaser 3020 two days ago. My wife and I installed it using the installation disk. The problem is the wifi connection after a few hours of idle is lost. (I mean I cannot print. also, on my printer list the printer appears as offline and also the printer-wps blue light (that should indicate wifi conncted) is missing even when pressing power button on printer). The current solution is just to shut down the printer and restart it. After that the wifi connection is established and we can print again. (allthough it still appears as offline in the printer list) .

I've had my Pixma TR4720 for a little under a year now, and it was working wonderfully until about January.

It would disconnect from the internet on its own every time I'd turn it back on, and then it was such a hassle to reconnect it to my wifi. This went on for months. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. But I always had to battle with my printer when I needed it.

Now, though, it won't connect at all. I've tried every single connection method, and nothing. I did easy wireless connect, manual, nothing works. I've tried through both my phone and my windows laptop.

It does show my wifi router, but it just doesn't connect after I put the password in. And I tried downloading the software from the canon.usa website, and it looked like it might work, and then it would just give me an error on the printer again.

I bought this same printer last week Thursday October 26th, and starting working to use, connect it to the wifi and my laptop on October 28th. This same Printer TR4720 wouldn't connect to the internet at all, I have tried every possible way for three days, nothing works. I bought this Printer through ebay, I guess i have to return it and perhaps get a different wireless printer

Self-promotion must be cleared with the mods beforehand and will only be allowed if the user is active on r/wifi helping other users. As a rule of thumb, for every self-promo post, the user should have made five submissions or responses to help others and that dont contain offboarding links.

Every eero comes with the latest in wifi encryption. And with eero Plus, you'll gain access to parental controls and active threat protection to help protect against ad trackers, malware, phishing, and viruses.

The '/interface/wifi/frequency-scan wifi1' command provides information about RF conditions on available channels that can be obtained by running the frequency-scan command. Used to approximate the spectrum usage, it can be useful to find less crowded frequencies.

The '/interface wifi scan' command will scan for access points and print out information about any APs it detects. It doesn't show the frequency usage, per channel, but it will reveal all access points that are transmitting. You can use the "connect" button, to initiate a connection to a specific AP.

Information about the capabilities of each radio can be gained by running the `/interface/wifi/radio print detail` command. It can be useful to see what bands are supported by the interface and what channels can be selected. The country profile that is applied to the interface will influence the results.

Some MikroTik Wi-Fi 5 APs, which ship with their interfaces managed by the 'wireless' menu, can install the additional 'wifi-qcom-ac' package to make their interfaces compatible with the 'wifi' menu instead.

The wifi-qcom-ac package includes alternative drivers for IPQ4018/4019 and QCA9984 radios that make them compatible with the WiFi configuration menu. For possible, wifi-qcom-ac/wifi-qcom/wireless, package combinations, please see package types section here.

The '/interface wifi flat-snoop' is a tool for surveying APs and stations. Monitors frequency usage, and displays which devices occupy each frequency. Provides more detailed infromation regarding nearby APs than scan, and offers easy overview of frequency usage by station/AP count.

It is anticipated that all 13 zones will be online by the end of March 2021.

Special symbols in WiFi passwords

Another problem that I noticed is the use of the "@" symbol in your WiFi password. For some reason the Pi converts this to a " and thus your wifi log in will not be successful (wrong password). After putting in your SSID and password with something like Raspi-Config, go back and make sure that your @ (ASCII character) is in the correct place and has not been replace by something else. (I used Shift+" on my keyboard to replace the " with a @ but you may have to find a different way or just change your password to something without a @ in it).

Just wanted to drop a tip. Configuring WiFi country is outlined in when talking about editing the txt file in the boot folder, but is kind of glossed over when talking about configuring with keyboard+mouse+monitor. I've never had good luck getting my card reader to work with partitioned SD cards, so I always just plug a monitor in to my Pi's. This is my first board newer than a 3B, and I had no idea about having to configure wifi country. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. While sudo raspi-config'ing, wifi country is in the localization options. 006ab0faaa
