Widgeteria ("the app") is published by the Widgeteria developer ("we"). This policy explains what data the app works with and where it goes.
Summary
• The app needs no account and asks for no name, phone number, email or contacts.
• The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking libraries.
• We do not run servers that receive your data. The only data that leaves your phone is the weather request described in section 3.
Data stored on your device
Your settings, saved widgets, liked wallpapers, selected city and language are stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. We cannot see them. If device backup is turned on in your Google account, Android may include this data in your own backup; that backup is handled by Google, not by us.
Weather
Weather widgets get their forecast from MET Norway (api.met.no). To do that, the app sends the approximate coordinates of the city you selected, rounded to about one kilometre. Like any internet request, this request also reveals your IP address to MET Norway; we do not receive it. The app never asks for your phone's location and has no location permission. MET Norway's own privacy terms apply to that request.
Prayer times, calendar and battery
Prayer times and calendar data are calculated on your phone from the city and method you choose. The battery level is read only to show it in a widget. None of this is sent anywhere.
Purchases
The current version of the app has no paid features and no purchases. If paid features are added later, they will be processed by Google Play, your payment details will never reach us, and this policy will be updated before that happens.
Permissions
• Internet: to download the weather forecast.
• Set wallpaper: only when you tap the Set button on a wallpaper.
• Vibrate: short vibrations during animations; can be turned off in Settings.
Sharing
We do not sell or share personal data. The only third parties involved are MET Norway (weather forecast) and Google (app distribution and your own device backup).
Retention and deletion
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete. To remove everything the app stored on your phone, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app.
Security
App data is kept in private storage that other apps cannot read. Weather requests are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
