This Privacy Policy explains how Widget Flashcards handles information when you use the app. It is provided for general product and publishing purposes and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before public release.
Widget Flashcards is a flashcard and home screen widget app designed to help users study vocabulary and track learning progress.
The app is designed to work locally on your device. Based on the current app implementation, Widget Flashcards does not require an internet permission, does not use advertising SDKs, does not use analytics SDKs, and does not transmit your study content to a remote server.
Widget Flashcards may store the following information locally on your device:
Your selected native language, study language, and translation language.
Flashcard decks and vocabulary that you create or edit.
Built-in decks that you add to your study list.
Learning progress, review status, remembered or forgotten card state, and study statistics.
Widget settings, such as selected decks, appearance, random word settings, and multi-widget preferences.
App preferences, such as theme settings and onboarding choices.
This information is used to provide the app's core learning, progress, and widget features.
Based on the current app implementation, Widget Flashcards does not collect or request:
Your name, email address, phone number, or account profile.
Precise location data.
Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or calendar data.
Payment information.
Advertising identifiers.
Browsing history.
Your flashcards, preferences, and progress are stored locally on your device using app storage. This allows the app to remember your decks, study progress, and widget configuration.
If you delete the app, clear app data, or use device tools that remove app storage, your locally stored flashcards, settings, and progress may be deleted.
Widget Flashcards uses the Android RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED permission so widgets and related app behavior can be restored after the device restarts.
The app does not use this permission to collect personal information.
We do not sell your personal information.
Based on the current app implementation, Widget Flashcards does not share your flashcard content, study progress, or app preferences with third-party servers because the app does not transmit this information from your device.
The current app implementation does not include third-party analytics, advertising, cloud sync, payment processing, or account login services.
If future versions add third-party services, this Privacy Policy should be updated before those services are released.
Widget Flashcards is a general learning tool. The app is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so the issue can be reviewed.
We use a local-first design to reduce unnecessary data transfer. However, no app or device storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, operating system, lock screen, backups, and app data.
You can manage your information by:
Editing or deleting flashcards and decks inside the app.
Changing app and widget settings inside the app.
Clearing app data through Android settings.
Uninstalling the app from your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the app's data practices change, the policy should be updated to explain those changes. The effective date at the top of this document indicates when it was last updated.
