This year, the WIC Mid-Winter Meeting features the theme of “Embedded AI: Enabling technologies and appealing applications".

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are opening up amazing new capabilities enabled by unprecedented computing capabilities. There is a great interest in enriching many applications with dedicated and powerful AI capabilities. However, access to servers where AI algorithms can run may not be possible or desirable. The question arises: what are the possibilities of embedded AI? Can dedicated hardware architectures and software development break performance/complexity bottlenecks? Which applications could benefit from embedded AI?
