About me

I joined the University of Leeds as a Lecturer in Pure Mathematics in 2023. Previously I worked at Graz University of Technology, the University of Notre Dame, the University of Pennsylvania and at RWTH Aachen University. I obtained my PhD from the University of Heidelberg under the supervision of Professor B.H. Matzat.

Research Interests

I am interested in algebraic, algorithmic and arithmetic aspects of differential and difference equations. This includes in particular the Galois theory of differential and difference equations and the theory of groups defined by algebraic difference equations. In my research I use methods from commutative algebra, algebraic geometry and the theory of algebraic groups. I am also interested in connections to model theory, combinatorics and number theory. Find out more on my research page.
