Well it is now June 23, and after installing 13.5.1 on my iPad Pro, the email issue is worse. In order for the read emails to actually show up as read, I must force close the email app AND force close my iPad. Prior to 13.5.1, I only needed to force close the email app.

i have on numerous occasion lost draft emails on my ipad. i have done up 2 page emails and and then they disappear. they are not in sent or deleted folders. has this happened to anyone else, can they be recovered. very frustrated

Why Does My Ipad Not Download Emails

Download Zip 🔥 https://bytlly.com/2y67Fw 🔥

Like everyone else I lost a draft email that I thought I had saved. I tried almost all tricks on this list, but with no success. By chance today I found my lost draft. I searched Spotlight for (hit command and space bar at same time to access Spotlight Search) the name of the recipient that I had been composing my draft email to, and lo and behold all of the previously lost drafts of my email to this recipient appeared in the Spotlight Search results. I was able to access and send my previously lost emails this way. I have no idea where these lost drafts were being stored, but at least I was able to recover them. I'm using an iPad 3 and running 8.1.1

It's not about being able to send emails or not, it's about emails that have been sent but once you leave the app and return to the app the email does not exist anymore, it is not in the sent folder, and the recipients have not received it. It is as if the email was never tight, sent or existed .

The fact that you didn't like my message doesn't require you to start badmouthing. And when it comes to smart, I'm sure you read this stream before you posted your message. You are definitely not smart

Can not delete emails when using my ipad. I have double checked all account info and made sure the most recent updates have been completed. Still continue to get the following message. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Try going into Settings > Accounts & Password > account > Account > Advanced > Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and see if you can now delete emails.

I do not have a hotmail account and it wasn't spam. However, thanks to chatting online with an apple customer service rep, they recommended that I uninstall the mail app (this thought would have never crossed my mind for some reason). They wanted me to re-install it and then re-set-up my mail accounts in Settings. Well, I did uninstall the Mail app, but then, I downloaded the AOL mail app, since that is who my carrier is now (was verizon but got moved over, although still has the verizon.net ending). After using AOL app for a week and remembering how much I hated it, I re-downloaded and installed the Mail app and everything has been working fine ever since. Those troublesome emails that were in deleted/undeleted limboland never re-appeared. So, problem solved.

After messing with this for over an hour, I discovered that when I clicked an option (I apologize, I can't remember which one exactly- might have been the curving arrow for forwarding or printing) on one of the offending emails, there was a "see other options" or "see related items" link that isn't normally there, and didn't show on other emails. When I clicked that link it gave me an "available threads" screen and the email was listed as a "thread". I have no idea how or why. However, once I selected it there and clicked the trashcan icon, it deleted and allowed me to delete the other few random emails that previously kept coming back. I hope this helps.

I have had the same problem for longer than one year. It is not an issue related to all mail. It is specifically related to spam mail. You can delete, but immediately the pop up says unable to delete. This occurs on iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, and Cloud. It seems to act more like a permanent invitation to spammers. I have tried too many hundreds of times as my inbox fills. At present there are about 20 / 50 emails I cannot delete or move. I have even deleted the old email addresses from accounts and devices.

Using 15.4.1 with iphone 10s. Since upgrading to 15 when I open mail I see a white page and takes 3-4 minutes for the emails to load. Never had problem before. Shut down app; turned off phone, all with no i

Any fixes besides turning phone on and off? did not work. I have deleted emails. I have deleted the mailboxes and reinstalled. Any suggestions would be greatly aPpreciated! Its only happening on my Ipad mini.

Clearly this is a known bug, and in typical Apple fashion: reboot, delete app, yaddi-yaddi-ya. Nothing works, turning off the privacy setting, zip -- in particular a reboot does jack-squat. I didn't see this one in the above comments, but another aspect is when in another app (e.g., a browser) and switching back to the mail app, you're presenting with a blank screen (again after finally opening Mail and getting your in-basket populated)... hitting the back arrow does nothing, the Mail app hangs for 20-30 seconds or more, before it finally shows back on your screen. Get your S#!+ together Apple, Mail used to one of your more "snappier" apps, now its almost worthless.

I have had the same problem for the last 3 weeks. Sometimes all my emails open right away. Other times it takes about a minute or two. When I leave my mail box to go to another app and come back, same thing...a white page that takes forever to load. I do not have this problem with my iPhone. My iPad was purchased 15 months ago, so it isn't old.

When are you going to fix everyone's email issues??? This is getting really old fast... A lot faster than our emails are opening up! On every update anymore it's nerve racking wondering what is going to be messed up now. Shouldn't more testing be done before releasing these updates? I've done everything that you say to do and nothing works. It's funny non of this happened until your updates! Please please please fix!!!

This does not help on the bug but while I had the issue I moved to gmail app for gmail and outlook app for work email. They work well. I still prefer iOS mail app so as 15.5 made things ok for my iPhone again, I moved back. But I am finding very odd that Apple is not fixing this for everyone after all this time. They must have the data that says which device models, os versions, etc have the issue.

Hi, my ipad is only showing unread emails. As soon as I read them they vanish. I've read lots of things online about this but everything I try doesn't work. I've been in email settings and changed everything but nothing worked. The little circle at bottom of page with three lines just goes between "filtered by: " and "unread" neither displays read emails. Is it a fault with my ipad or is there a setting somewear I've missed. I can get them on my sons phone or by searching all mailboxes. But this is just so frustrating, please help me !!!!!

Hi fantastic, you are all heros. Finally the penny has dropped. You have made a 90 year old lady very happy. Had tapped the edit button on the unread list but only came up with the unread emails to edit, I had to go back to mailboxes and press edit on there so I could edit mailboxes and add inboxes. I dont know how I unticked it.

Hi thank you Chris for reply. I understand what you are saying i think, but with filter turned off it still says unread and doesn't show read emails. Added photo of screen with filter turned off, if you have any other thoughts it would be gratefully received

Tap on the Edit button. That will give you the ability to choose the mailboxes as the other poster suggested. For some reason, you do not have Inbox selected for your mail account, you have Unread selected. That is why you are only seeing unread emails. Select the Inbox if you only have one account, or you can select All Inboxes. Either should work.

The official Apple answer says that I should be able to simply swipe left to delete, but when I swipe left, I only have the options of Unread, Archive, or "more" (which does have the delete option if I scroll down). I have tried changing the options in Settings, but delete is not an option. Deleting a single email in the Mail app is pretty annoying. Any suggestions?

Yes, both need to be configured to imap . A pop account downloads to the device and does not sync with the server as imap does. You may nit be able change the pop account to imap so just create a new imap account and once your mail is synced delete the pop account.

POP3 (Post Office Protocol) is an older email protocol that downloads emails from the server to the device and then removes them from the server. This means that if you delete an email from your device, it will also be deleted from the server and cannot be accessed from any other devices. However, some email clients offer the option to keep a copy of the emails on the server, which can cause deleted emails to reappear if not configured correctly.

IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is a more modern email protocol that keeps emails on the server and syncs them across multiple devices. This means that if you delete an email from one device, it will also be deleted from the server and from all other devices that are accessing the same email account.

If your email account is configured as POP3 and you are experiencing issues with deleted emails reappearing as new emails, it may be because the option to keep a copy of the emails on the server is enabled. To fix this issue, you can try disabling the option to keep a copy of the emails on the server in your email client's settings.

If your email account is configured as IMAP and you are experiencing issues with deleted emails reappearing as new emails, it may be due to a syncing issue between your devices and the server. In this case, you can try the steps I mentioned in my previous answer, such as removing and re-adding your email account, resetting your device's network settings, or updating your device's software. 17dc91bb1f
