Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Term 2!
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you all had a restful break. We are thrilled to welcome everyone back for Term 2, and we have a packed calendar filled with exciting events alongside our planned learning activities.
To ensure you don’t miss out, please make sure to add key dates to your calendars:
Anti-Bullying Week (including Odd Socks Day on Tuesday, 12th November): A great opportunity for our students to celebrate individuality and learn about the importance of respect.
Festive Performances: Stay tuned for dates and details of our upcoming holiday performances, which are always a highlight of the term.
And many more - all listed for your convenience in the DATES for your DIARY section of this Newsletter and also in the PTA led calendar which is available via this link.
We also encourage you to continue daily reading and learning times tables with your children at home. If you have any questions or need support with learning, please don’t hesitate to speak with your child’s class teacher.
Finally, a reminder that the last day of term is Friday, 20th December. It will be here before we know it!
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to another fantastic term together.

Many thanks to The Iris Project for fuelling us with exciting knowledge.
Our first Latin Club session was a fantastic start! The room buzzed with excitement as we delved into ancient myths and legends. Jacob wowed everyone by sharing his knowledge of Medusa, bringing the legendary Gorgon to life with fascinating details. Meanwhile, Hans impressed the teachers with his insightful thoughts on Perseus, sparking great discussions among the group.
We’re thrilled with the enthusiasm and curiosity shown by all the students. It’s clear that Latin Club is off to an amazing start, and we can’t wait to explore more myths and ancient tales together in the coming weeks!
These children have been recognised for their incredible effort and excellence! They will receive a golden certificate, a big round of applause during the celebration assembly, and a coveted spot in the prestigious Gold Book. Well done to all our shining stars!
We are so proud of you!!

Listen to this PODCAST - 7 minutes - This guide is from the Anti-Bullying Alliance.
Even among adults, it can be all too common to see disputes and differing opinions grow extremely heated, which is rarely helpful to anyone. When emotions run high, it can be easy to forget yourself and perhaps even say something you didn’t mean, hurting feelings or escalating the situation further.
For children, it’s just as important to avoid this kind of behaviour whenever possible; without the necessary guidance, however, they could struggle to identify any disrespectful behaviour, let alone recognise what they can do differently. This guide offers you expert advice on teaching children and young people to choose respect when interacting with their peers, helping to create an environment based on empathy and tolerance.
The lunch menus are on a 3 week rota - please find the Monday date at the top to know what will be on offer for the week. There are 3 menus to see below. Yum!
Please note that on the rare occasion there may be a slight change on offer - this is usually due to delivery delays.
