A few words from the Headteacher
Wellbeing is wonderful
The children use an online programme called ZUMOS to record how they are feeling everyday. They also tell us with their words and actions. Happiness and positive emotions create dopamine and serotonin. When these substances are released into the brain it has positive effects on our memory as well as our brain's ability to learn.
I hope this little video of Peacocks Class makes you smile today and helps you remember the important dates coming up as we approach the final fortnight of the first term of the academic year.

Dates for your diary
October is Black History month and Lambeth Libraries have an amazing line up of writers, artists, film makers and historians. The programme is headlined with soul legend P P Arnold discussing her life in music with writer Lloyd Bradley - a life that has included singing as an Ikette with Tina Turner in the 1960s through a major solo career and appearances with everyone from Rod Stewart, the Small Faces, Steel Pulse and Barry Gibb to name a few - a who's who of music greats. There are so many highlights including authors Alex Wheatle, Jacqueline Crooks and acclaimed actor Paterson Joseph, educationalist Gus John and historian Robin Walker. Do check out the brochure as there really is an unbelievable number of events for everyone.
