- Monday: 12 - skyline loop + 5 summits of bear hill. I cooked dinner, but then had to go to run without eating it until I got back. Had to break out the headlamp. I need some good rechargeable AAAs for my BD headlamp
- Tuesday: 12.8 - Fells cruising with Brian. Met up with him at Bear hill parking, and then toured all around, he took me through a lot of back paths and things. Super cool.
- Wednesday: 10.7 - Lynn woods race, did a 2 mile warmup, then a spicy 5.6 (isjh) at just under 6:30 pace to take second (the results are wrong, some dude who turned back early is listed as second but oh well). Then a 3 mile cool down with the dudes who went 3 and 4.
- Thursday: 8 - very stiff and easy 8 on the road
- Friday: 7 - 2 in the morning in sandals, keep the feet strong. Then easy 5 in the evening
- Saturday: 15.5 - Chocorua Mountain Race. Awesome day put on by Rockhopper Races. It was 15.5ish miles by my watch and ~4000 ft of climbing. The first half was flatish and then the climb got steep. I passed a lot of people on the climb, which was nice, since in the past I haven't been a great climber, but maybe I'm better at power hiking climbing than running climbing, and then on the descent passed a few more. Awesome day, was just over 3 hours in 3:03 and change
- Sunday: 12 - easy, lackadaisical tour of the fells. Entered via a new trailhead, so even closer to my house. And then did some scrambling at my favorite spot, really the only good place for scrambling I've found in there. Then continued on running around. Very warm day.
Total: 78.3 miles, 11,444 ft of climbing
Thoughts: First big week in June. Mostly easy running and I'm not feeling too burn out from it. I'm 9 days into the month and at 94.6, so I'm 4.6 miles ahead of my goal of 300 miles for the month. Hopefully can keep that up.
Photo: Place holder of Kirby until I decide what to put there. Maybe It'll be Kirby for awhile.
