- Monday: Memorial Day! my friend Nathan and I did two summits of Mount Moosilauke in the White Mountains. 16.2 miles and 5262 ft of climbing. Got to use my new Black Diamond Distance 15 pack. Really well built and comfortable. Sort of wish it had some mesh exterior pockets to stash more stuff, but still very good pack, and I'm quite happy with it.
- Tuesday: 5 miles on the treadmill. Dropped on in the middle at 6 minute pace accelerating to 4:52 pace for the last tenth.
- Wednesday: Reservoir loop + 5 summits of bear hill. Total 10.78 miles and 1309 ft of climbing
- Thursday: Easy road 5
- Friday: Skyline loop. 9.4 miles, 1473 ft of climbing. New Apex update seems to track elevation very closely, tiny hills getting counted now
- Saturday: Very hungover run in the heat around the rock circuit trail, with a little bit of scrambling as well. 9.1 miles with 1654 ft of climbing
- Sunday: Trail Tribe. Ran 7.2 with Oeystein (his first time back on trails since a bad fall last year). Reservoir loop, and then two summits of Bear Hill
Total: 62.8 miles, 10922 ft of climbing
Thoughts: This was a great week back. Can still feel some weirdness in the ankle, but nothing bad happened. Monday was a great day out hiking / running. Felt pretty strong the whole time. Hoping to make a big month out of June.
