In 1911, a postcard set was sold to Washingtonians without any branding on it whatsoever. It was hoped that 20,000 of these would be mailed out by Washingtonians as a tool to advertise the city. We are calling it the "white typeset" set because of the distinguishable text on the front of each card. Known examples are seen below.
