This jumper employs the Fisher-Price Smart Stages system, which lets you set it to stage 1, 2 or 3 as your baby grows, teaching concepts like letters, numbers and shapes in nuanced ways as your toddler begins to acquire more vocabulary. When your baby is riding in the seat, the interactive steering wheel sets off more than a hundred songs and sayings. Once this jumper is off the stand and on the floor, your toddler has access to all of that, plus the toys on each side and the back, including a shape sorter.
"Unless you've somehow missed your baby's sleep cues, there really is no good reason that he or she should be falling asleep there, and I see this as even more of an issue than a car seat, because there is so much potential for the airway being compromised in the upright position," says Dr. Hoffman.
Want to introduce your little one to composers like Mozart or Beethoven? This activity center, which has a fairly small footprint when compared to its competitors, has a musical theme. The seat spins a full 360 degrees so babies can check out the bongo drum set, which can be taken off, as well as attached musical toys like a piano, tambourine and guitar. The weight limit is 24 pounds, there are four different height settings and the fabric cover can be machine washed.
This multi-functional baby jumper comes with a 360 degree fully rotating padded seat and LOTS of fun and stimulating moving and musical toys to play with. Your little one is also sure to love the sounds and lights that come from it too, which helps with their coordination whilst playing.
Make play time super fun with Lenny the Lion, complete with a crinkle mane and squeaky nose which babies absolutely love. It also comes with two teether rings which will work to encourage baby to bounce away. This baby door bouncer also comes with a fully supportive seat to ensure your little one maintains correct posture with a soft, padded seat for comfort.

Hi
My amazing little DD is 4.5mo. I keep hearing how good jumperoos are and I'm trying to figure out if I should get one. Are they really worth the price? The Fisher-Price Rainforest one gets amazing reviews on Amazon.
I also don't know whether to get her a Bumbo so she has something she can sit up in.
Also should I be starting to look at a high chair for her?
I worry as I'm back at work (not by choice) although working from home and do one full day on a Monday so concerned she doesn't get much stimulation and spends too long on her playmat. I was thinking the jumperoo and Bumbo might mix it up a bit. The rest of the week we have an activity everyday (swimming, baby massage, baby sensory and music group) which we normally combine with a visit to a friend or meeting DH for lunch so she probably wouldn't use it much the rest of the week. Given that (and that money is tight) is it really worth it?
I see lots of lists for what to buy newborns but not so much advice for 5-12 months. What have been your best buys for this age group?
My dd loves her Jumparoo, she goes in it every morning after she's had her bottle. I think it was the best purchase we ever made. We've got the rainforest one too.
Check gumtree and your local Facebook selling pages as you should get a second hand one for about Â40
Def recommend the jumperoo...we borrowed one for ds. Bear in mind tho that she might not be able to do the jumping part strAight awAy. Ds couldn't jump in his until he was 7 months! But he did like to sit in it And play with the toys.
No need for a bumbo, she will be able to sit when she is ready, no need to be propping her up before then
Our Bumbo lasted a week. Our Jumperoo on the other hand was bought at 3 months and is still going strong at 9 months. Total Gumtree bargain at Â35. I don't think you need to buy a new one, check Gumtree or local ebay listings as they're too big to post. You should pick one up less than half price. Ds loves his, and has since we first put him in it. Invaluable to have him contained while I run upstairs to the loo or to put laundry away.
jumperoos are massive, not worth the money but they are always going on eBay. we got really good use out of our bumbo from 4 months onwards, get the tray, good as a spare highchair thing if you have a friend with another baby come over and only one highchair. recommend a door bouncer, hardly takes up any space.
BTW the only highchair to go for is the IKEA antilop, don't waste your money on anything else
Bumbo didn't work at all for DS as he has podgy legs! He LOVES his jumperoo though, uses it everyday quite happily whilst I get his meals ready, he's nearly 9mo. We had a doorway bouncer as well which we used everyday for about 3 months whilst we got up and dressed in the morning! We've stopped using that now as he starting swinging from side to side in a slightly cavalier fashion!
Yes to the jumperoo. I got mine on eBay for Â45, barely used. It's now been used by 4 different children (only 2 of them mine!) Best thing I bought.
Bumbo really depends on your baby. My first wasn't interested in moving or sitting himself at all, and so it really helped him get another perspective on the world! He used it until 9 months and we never had a problem.
My DS2 used it for 2 weeks before he started trying to escape.
SIL's DS used it once, and flipped himself straight out.
Our Bumbo lasted 3 weeks; around 5 months DD became an expert in arching her back to try to escape it and it didn't really feel safe anymore.
Here's the review I wrote for the jumperoo in Amazon - DD is now 10 months old and still adores it.
My 4 month old is the ultimate velcro-baby and nothing keeps her amused more than 2 minutes... enter the Jumperoo! She absolutely loves it and it keeps her happy for a good 20ms, which honestly is such a huge help. I also feel it's helping her develop her dexterity, as she's manipulating the toys, turning around to reach and jumping up to get the flying toys. One of the best baby buys we made!
Your baby is growing every month so why should toys remain the same? The Monsterland activity center comes with additional toys that are thoughtfully designed for stage based learning and prolonged entertainment! Like all our PortaPlays, the latest Monsterland also converts into a play table when baby is up and walking!
Many parents would love to see their babies starting to stand or walk on their own feet. On an early age, babies are still trying to figure out the other ways to standing up. For some parents, utilizing supporting devices such as a baby jumperoo is a good alternative.
Before Noah was born I had no idea there was such a heated debate among parents regarding the use of an exersaucer or jumperoo. A quick google search will bring up countless pages (and arguments) about the pros and cons of using one or the other.
Our son was born with Down syndrome, and my wife and I are strong supporters of early childhood intervention, to help them reach their milestones. Our son gets to spend a lot of time with some of the best physical and occupational therapists in the world. So you better believe when it came time for us to make a decision regarding a jumperoo or exersaucer we picked their brains. I mean why not, their experts when it comes to this sort of stuff!
So which one did we buy for our son? While all three of these exersaucer would suit your babies needs well, we actually went with the Baby Einstein Exersaucer. The model in the video is actually the older model of the one we linked to. In fact Noah gets a ton of use out of it, and it even helped him develop the core strength needed to meet some of his developmental milestones.
Our 17 month old has the jumperoo, although we barely have put her in it since she starting sitting up on her own and can go grab her toys on her own (she wants out of her jumperoo after about 10 minutes) but she also loves her Johnny Jump Up! (the jumper you hook on the doorway)
Rick what a wonderful post, very informative. I have to agree about the choice of an exersaucer being the better choice for a child with low tone. I shared your post in my post -and-determined.com/down-syndrome/sharing-a-great-post-exersaucer-vs-jumperoo/. Thanks for being such a wonderful resource and such an advocate.
I spent an embarrassing amount of time on this decision and ended up going with the Fisher-Price jumperoo. However, I regret my decision and definitely now think the Evenflo Triple Fun ExerSaucer is the way to go. More on that here: -hint-exersaucer-or-jumperoo-the-one-to-get/
I prefer exersaucer for my baby.Because for jumperoo they need to be taller. Exersaucer is preferable for little kids, I guess. Thanks for your post.Learned a lot of new things from you. Thanks for sharing.
