Apart from the beautiful hardwood, Provenza also offers their own waterproof vinyl plank flooring known as MaxCore LVP. These four collections make up 84 unique vinyl plank products in total.
When looking at the durability aspects of engineered hardwood floors, we mainly look at the overall thickness of the planks, the top layer, and the wood species. Provenza offers standard-thickness engineered hardwood; it can be anywhere from 1/2 inch (12mm) to 3/4 inch (18mm) thick.

and lastly, If the floor needs an overall refresher ( timing will vary depending on care and usage ) apply Provenza Touch-Up Oil thinly, thoroughly and evenly along wood grain with a scotch pad or hand brush. Remove surplus immediately. Leave to dry at least 8-10 hours.
We have had these floors for about 6 months - we love the look but do NOT put them in a kitchen or bathroom or basically anywhere that will have even a chance of any moisture. Not only does it leave little water spots but anything like urine, cleaning materials (these are IMMEDIATE - like my son drips a little in the bathroom and I was standing right there and it absorbed into the floor before I could even wipe it up (2 seconds max) water that is on there for more than about 10 seconds or lotions will cause a complete discoloration. For example, if you put a wet dish in your dishwasher and a small drip comes off the plate (what would normally just dissolve on any floor i've seen) this leaves a small bleached water spot on the floor if you don't run around the dishwasher and get the teeniest spot that you could hardly even see immediately. From what I had read, I was not too worried because I figured if we had any trouble we could just use the rejuvenator and it would look great again but unfortunately, once the color is gone, it's almost like it is bleached out and it does not come back. We have actual drop spots with bleached out color obviously all over the floor. Very disappointed.
I'm not sure where you bought your flooring, but I don't see you in our files as a customer. These are not low end floors, and with proper installation and maintenance, should serve you well for many years.
If you aren't happy with the flooring, your first call should be to the local flooring dealer where you purchased them. Like most manufacturers of wood flooring, if you purchased the flooring online, you will have to go back to the seller for help with warranty issues and other concerns.
Thank you so much for your reply. I forgot where I had posted, so just found this today, after experiencing a few more small splinters. Yes, I am using a dry Swiffer. I'm going to look for a giant one, because I'm running through boxes of the small ones too fast. I tried using a broom, vacuum, and dust mop. None of them worked as well as the Swiffer. Each time I used the Swiffer after trying a different method, it was always black with dirt. Finally, I used Bona natural oil floor cleaner. The floors looked good, but I was surprised that even the smallest scratches or marks remained. I have had many wood floors, from pine to oak, and never had splinters and scratches like this (Yes, the pine dented from heel marks as expected).
We've had Provenza Heirloom Liverpool for 5 1/2 years. It is a gorgeous floor and we love it. Maintenance and care in most living areas is not a problem, including in the powder room and dining room. We also installed it in the kitchen and I would not do that again. I find water spots, even melting ice cubes, initially seem to soak in and darken the wood, but they quickly evaporate and leave no discoloration. Oily drops or oily food are another story. We have used all of the Provenza care products and despite the literature, cannot get rid of oil stains. Luckily, our floor has lots of character and so the stains don't stand out. We do have a rugs in front of the sink, dishwasher and stove to help. Kitchen floors just take too much abuse for this wood, in my opinion. Also, I would not install in a bathroom, other than a guest powder room, for the same reason.
We would strongly recommend that you use the Provenza cleaners for their oil floors. Water only will definitely dry out the floor, and the Meyers Soap is not approved, so I wouldn't recommend that either. I would provide the proper cleaner to your cleaning staff to ensure the best results and to maintain your warranty. If you need to re oil the floor, I would also only used products approved by Provenza. They have changed a couple of times over the years, so reach out to your dealer or Provenza and make sure you use the product they recommend. Make sure you let them know when your floor was purchase because of the changes they've made over the years. Good luck!
