There are no raised obstacles on the field such as bases or mounds, instead they are painted directly on the field to make everything flat and safe. The field is a little smaller than a typical little league field with the base path, pitching and outfield fence distances being a bit shorter. We host a Spring and a Fall season each year. Teams play one weekday game, on either Monday or Thursday evenings, and one weekend game on Saturday mornings/afternoons. Since the league is about fun and inclusion over competitiveness, we do not host practices.

While the action across the two initial group stages was entertaining, it was the playoffs between the final four teams where the action really kicked into another gear. Just a day before the semifinals were due to begin, Valve released the massive New Frontiers update for Dota 2, which completely changed the game. This meant that all four teams had to figure out not only what was strong in this new patch, but also the most optimal way to play on the massively changed map.

Game five was one of the most impressive performances of the entire tournament from Gaimin Gladiators. After getting off to a small lead in the early game they played the map perfectly and never let Liquid get a hold on the game. Almost every fight went their way and soon it felt like a forgone conclusion. With it being a game five they did play it safe, before eventually getting the win after 40 minutes to become Dreamleague Season 19 champions.
