App Name: WhatsApp Status Saver
Effective Date: July 24, 2026
WhatsApp Status Saver ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our app handles your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not directly collect personal information such as your name, email address, or account details, since the App has no accounts, logins, or sign-up flow.
However, the App uses third-party services (Google AdMob, Firebase) that may automatically collect limited technical data to serve ads, report crashes, and manage app configuration. This is described in Section 2 below.
Status Saving: The App reads WhatsApp's local status folder (images, videos) already saved temporarily on your device by WhatsApp, and lets you save these files permanently to your own device storage using the Storage/Media permission.
Sending Messages & Media: The App allows you to send saved statuses or media directly to your WhatsApp contacts using WhatsApp's own sharing feature. This happens through your device's share function — we do not access, read, or store your WhatsApp messages or contacts.
Deleted Message Recovery: The App uses Android's Notification Access permission to detect notification content on your device. If a message notification is deleted or removed before you read it, the App may have already cached the notification text locally, allowing you to view it within the App. This processing happens entirely on your device — the notification content itself is never collected by us, never transmitted over the internet, and never stored on any external server.
Advertising: The App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), IP address, general device information, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. Where required by law (for example, users in the EEA/UK), we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before showing personalized ads. If you decline, you may still see non-personalized ads. See Google's Privacy Policy for details: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Crash Reporting & App Configuration: We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports (such as device model, OS version, app version, and stack traces) so we can identify and fix bugs. We also use Firebase Remote Config to control which features are active for your app version. Both require an internet connection and are provided by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy above for how this data is handled.
Permission
Why We Need It
Storage / Media (Images, Video, Audio)
To read WhatsApp's status folder and let you save, view, and share photos, videos, and audio files you choose to keep
Internet Access
Required to load ads (AdMob), send crash reports (Crashlytics), and fetch app configuration (Remote Config)
Notification Access
To detect and locally cache notification content, so deleted or removed messages can still be viewed within the App
We only request these permissions to power the features described above. Notification content and saved media are processed and stored locally on your device — we do not upload or access this content ourselves.
We do not sell your personal information. The only data shared with third parties is the limited technical data described in Section 2 (Advertising, Crash Reporting & App Configuration), which is collected directly by Google's services (AdMob, Firebase) under their own privacy policy, not by us.
We do not share your WhatsApp messages, contacts, saved statuses, or notification content with anyone.
Media you save and notification content the App caches are stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store this content, so there is no server-side database of your personal media or messages that could be breached on our end. Please keep your device secure (lock screen, updated OS) since this local data is only as safe as your device itself.
Manage Permissions: You can grant or revoke Storage, Notification Access, and other permissions at any time through your device's Settings.
Ad Personalization: If you're shown a consent prompt (EEA/UK), you can choose non-personalized ads. You can also review or reset your Advertising ID in your device's Google Settings.
Delete Local Data: Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App removes any saved statuses and cached notification content stored locally.
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly direct the App at children. We do not collect personal information from anyone through the App directly; any technical data collected by third-party ad/crash-reporting services is handled under their own respective privacy policies and consent mechanisms.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
