I am wondering if there is a way I can detect a skype call/telegram/whatsapp/fb messenger call etc in progress or incoming call etc just like the regular phone call with telephony manager/listener? I would like to have some kind of mechanism that detects an ongoing /incoming etc call from skype/telegram etc for my app. I came across this solution :Call Detection for skype in android but not sure if it'll work for all generic messenger apps. Is there a hack or any kind of listener I can implement on my side that allows me to detect these? Any ideas would be awesome.

Update! It is deffo a signal issue as I was in Asda the other day when my Dad rang me on Whatsapp, I answered and realised it was coming through the streamer to my ears!! So, i got my 14 pro max today. When i tried to call someone from messenger or whatsapp, the proximity sensor was not working. like when i placed the phone to my ear, it was not going black. But in the main built in phone app, everything is working fine. Again when i receive call from someone on messenger or whatsapp, it works totally fine. Incoming calls on third party apps are alright but outgoing calls are the main victim. Can someone please help me out on this? I am literally having a bad headache now. We are developing a chatbot using Amazon Lex for WhatsApp channel based on Genesys Cloud and I want to use "call-to-action". Is this feature available? I've seen some documentation for Genesys Engage but not sure if available for Genesys Cloud.

I haven't used it myself with WhatsApp but yes, Amazon Lex is supported with Genesys Cloud message conversations (whatsapp, web messaging, ...).

You can invoke your Amazon Lex bot using the "Call Lex Bot" action in your Architect Inbound Message flow.

Is it possible to add this "call-to-action" buttons if template is pre-approved by facebook and using standard markup described by whatsApp in Amazon Lex? genesys will show this kind of buttons on WhatsApp?

In addition the link you shared (Use a WhatsApp template message - Genesys Cloud Resource Center) only makes reference to use message templates by an agent on a canned response. Is this also available on an architect flow? Is it possible to send the message template as a response from Amazon Lex and Genesys will render the call-to-action on WhatsApp?

I think only agent can trigger it as described in Use a WhatsApp template message - Genesys Cloud Resource Center.

It is not listed for bot so I doubt it is supported.

Holding the phone to your ear will disable the screen and removing it from your ear will enable the screen again. Apparently WhatsApp also uses that for audio recordings.
