I suddenly stopped getting notifications on my iPhone 14 Pro. It however does show a red icon that there is a new message or more ... but when I swipe down Whatsapp doesn't appear in the Notification Centre. I did a hard reset and also reset Location & Privacy. All the correct settings are in place ... but still nothing works. The very same thing happened on my previous iPhone 13 Pro. Anybody else experiencing the same issue? All my other apps seem to be working just fine.

This is extraordinary. Most of my communicants use Whatsapp. I haven't asked them if they use ipad, but I think some/lots of them use iphone. Does iphone support whatsapp? I just tried it.Its true.Closed Whatsapp and then tried to play and audio or video in chat.I could increase or decrease the volume. Then viewed a status. Retested,and it was no longer working. I am on 14 Pro Max iOS17.1.1

What i did was remove the auto lock. By so doing, the phone doesn't lock when you tap backup. So, tap backup and leave the whatsapp app open. I usually leave it on the backup page until its done. I hope this helps

I contacted Whatsapp official guys but they kept telling me that there is an ongoing issue with Whatsapp and will be fixed soon but these guys are telling lies. No fix has been given till this date. Unfortunately, I deleted that email.
