I'm currently in the USA. I came here with my my Samsung S10e which I bought over 2 years ago. Everything was working fine. I have the same mobile phone number since 2003. I've installed and registered Whatsapp account with my Polish number in 2013 and since then I've never ever had any issues with it. Just last Tuesday I decided to factory reset my phone as it became quite slow. I did the backup and when I'd chosen restore every single app came back to normal work except for Whatsapp. It says it can't send the verification code. My Polish SIM card is activated, roaming is on, I get SMSa from Revolut, Amazon, Telegram etc but I can't get it from Whatsapp. It's not like it doesn't come to me. The problem is Whatsapp doesn't SEND it. I've contacted the technical support but all I get is some generic answer. Please, help ?

I installed bluestacks and whatsapp in it on my pc, sent the verification code to my twilio account, however I'm not receiving any confirmation code sms. If I send a normal sms from my phone to the twilio number it is received and displayed normally in the logs, but the whatsapp verification message isn't.

There are many reasons you may not be receiving SMS messages to your Twilio number. In this case it is likely that WhatsApp are trying to send the message using a short code or alphanumeric sender ID. It's also possible that WhatsApp refuses to send verification codes to VOIP numbers, like Twilio numbers. In general it is not a good practice to use Twilio numbers to receive verification codes.

Since Sunday 17 of October 2016 I've been unable to verify my WhatsApp! It returns error "We couldn't send an SMS to your number. Please check your number and try again in 1 hour." Things I've tried: Making sure the APN is right. Disabling WiFi during check. Restarting the phone, Reinstalling WhatsApp, Factory Reset, etc. Contacting WhatsApp Support (No response). Trying to verify on another device. I may be forgetting some of the stuff I tried. Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks!

Should i do something? I received this like 4 times in the last 2 weeks. been also getting calls from weird numbers but i blocked them but that was a few weeks before the first notification popped up.

When I open all my contacts on WhatsApp, it automatically adds the country code, so if I have a US phone 123-456-7890, it adds a +1. But how does it know it's a US number? It could have been anything.

I guessed that it uses my current locale or timezone to determine where I am, and any phone numbers that don't have a country code, just add the current user's country code. But I changed my locale settings in my iPhone and it was still able to guess which country the number belongs to.

Update: Also, I just tried adding a new phone number while my phone was in airplane mode while my region settings were set to Italian while my timezone was set to Rome, Italy, and it still knew I put a US number, so it can't possibly be connecting to a server to get this info.

WhatsApp knows what country code you are 'in' because you have verified your own phone number with WhatsApp. Phone numbers that don't have an explicit international format, meaning they don't start with '+' or '00', are checked against your own verified country code. This is how WhatsApp knows to use country code 1 in your case.

So when you enter a number like (347) 123-4567 this is assumed to be a US phone number because you have chosen United States under the Region Format. So WhatsApp can assume the +1 because there is no explicit country code in the number.

Someone random dickhead has been harrasing a member of my family. The number seems to be from canada. However we don't know anyone from canada. The call came on WhatsApp. Is it possible that they were using vpn?

The scam works like this. Whenever someone tries to register a WhatsApp account on a mobile phone they give WhatsApp a phone number. WhatsApp sends an SMS verification code to the mobile phone number they have been given, to verify that the number is active and that the user trying to register the account really owns the number.

For a higher level of security on WhatsApp, you are advised to not only never share your six-digital registration code, but also enable two-step verification, restrict who can view your profile photo, and be cautious about transferring money with contacts unless you have confirmed their identity.

I want to code python script. The script will take input phone numbers list from user and then it will check over whatsapp using selenium if its registered on whatsapp or not. The script will be able to check each and every number from the list if its registered it will display registered if its not it will display not registered .

I needed a typing box to enter mobile number, which I will enter different mobile numbers of customers separately , this is B part , On clicking send , it should combine both A+B and create a hyperlink button and open the combined url in new tab

I want to create a passwordless signup system, based on a Whatsapp code that will be sent for the user in the signup process, and a new WhatsApp code that will be sent everytime the user logs in again

Bubble provides secure signup with password and other providers. If you care about security you should use that. If you want to verify a phone number, do it after a standard account creation with email and password, with a real password.

I can't activate Whatsapp on it. No it is not the typical problem of "not receiving the activation". I have the activation code, I receive it over sms or I can call WhatsApp to listen to it and note it down. Having the activation code is not the problem here.

In this scam, fraudsters pose as friends or loved ones of the victim and claim to be in need of immediate help. But what they really want is your six-digit WhatsApp verification code, personal information, or money.

Scammers typically use one of two methods to pull off this scam: (1) They message you from a new number claiming to be your friend. (2) They reach out from a familiar WhatsApp account after hijacking that number.

In a WhatsApp verification code scam, bad actors try to log into your WhatsApp account from their mobile device. They trick you into sending a verification code that gives them access to your WhatsApp.

What to do: WhatsApp sends these verification codes as push notifications when you register your phone number on the app. This could happen if someone mistyped your number or is trying to take over your account.

If you get a text message with an unexpected verification code, delete it. Block any WhatsApp user that asks you to send them a code or PIN. Finally, turn on two-step verification if you receive multiple one-time codes out of the blue.

What to do: Keep in mind that you will not get a call from a lottery representative if you win. Also, Mega Millions doesn't award prizes worldwide based on phone numbers or email addresses.

After the victim concedes, the fraudster sends them a QR code to scan and transfer money. With bank account information that the victim inadvertently shares, the scammer proceeds to drain their bank account.

Even if the person messaging you says the number has been disconnected or their phone is broken, call the number you have for them. If you can't reach them on the phone, connect with them directly on social media to confirm before you send any money.

Many people set their voicemail pins to something simple that they can remember, such as 1111 or 0000. This makes it easy for hackers to access your voicemail and intercept audio verification codes sent to your accounts.

Copy and paste this link onto the QR Code generator above and replace with your full phone number in international format. Omit any zeroes, brackets, or dashes when adding the phone number in international format.

I have an iPhone. Afterthe iOS17 update I reset my phone and restored from backup. Since then, I cannot use WhatsApp. No matter what option I choose to verify, it does not work. The most common verification, using my correct phone number that is on my phone, returns "We couldn't send an SMS to your number."

WhatsApp asked me for my phone number, then they asked for a video showing the behaviour, then they asked me to do the basic troubleshooting all over again. So they are utterly useless at supporting their product.

Over the weekend I had a problem with the link to open a conversation to the whatsapp application from my applications. This link and the applications worked perfectly because I even have it published in the App store and play store.

The screen shows send--sanitize-- which means the link used is hidden and the error could be due to the link using an invalid invitation to a group instead of a phone number or the phone number or the full URL is not formatted properly.

The Twilio Sandbox for WhatsApp is a pre-configured environment available through the Twilio Console in which you can prototype sending outbound messages, replying to incoming messages, and configuring things like message delivery callbacks. While you wait for your WhatsApp Business Profile to be connected with your Twilio phone number, it's a quick way to test out the functionality of the WhatsApp Business API with Twilio.

The Sandbox is pre-provisioned with a Twilio phone number (+1-415-523-8886) that is shared across all sandbox users. However, other users who share the same sandbox number won't receive your messages, only the ones who have opted in to your sandbox. 2351a5e196
