Thomas loses his memory and finds himself trapped in a massive maze called the Glade. He and his friends try to escape from the maze and eventually learn that they are subjects of an experiment.

Upon escaping the maze, Thomas and his friends are shifted to a facility run by Mr Janson. When they realise his intent, they escape, only to face the scorching heat in a lifeless world.

When a deadly disease called the Flare breaks out, Thomas and his group of escaped Gladers break into the Last City to find the cure and save their friends.
