In What Makes a Hero, you play as a fledgling Narrator deity, training to earn the full power of a Narrator. As your final trial, you must control a fantasy world and tell the story of a protagonist going on a typical hero's journey. The only problem? You can't actually control the protagonist. To prove your worth as a Narrator, manipulate the world and guide your hero as they grow up and attempt a prophesied quest.
Raise up the hero of your story from birth by influencing everything around them
Perform well for your final trial and keep the protagonist's skills and health in check
As you make choices, the world and narrative change to reflect them
Still a demo, who knows what the future could bring...

Beesechurger is a team made up of four students at Northeastern University for their Game Concept Development class. Together, they decided to make a game that tests the limits of separation between player and main character and spent a semester hard at work to make the demo version of What Makes a Hero.
