I too was seeing issues with the quality of recordings when using safari. so I tried again with the exact same videos, but using Firefox. the issues did not occur while using Firefox.

In terms of automatic suppression from emails, you would have to manually unsubscribe them from all emails. This is the only way to keep the contact and accomplish what you're trying to do*, unless you're open to always adding an exclusion list to your marketing emails.

Hi - as others have suggested, the use of non-maketing contact status is a good way to make sure that emails are not sent to that undeliverable address, although I find that this can unfortunately be flipped back sometimes by imports (as an example) that contain outdated infrmation.

My own personal best practice is to create a lifecycle stage 'Dead' and move contacts you want to retire to that that stage, together with a workflow that unubscribes the Contact from all marketing email subscription types. This reduces the chance of a single update mistake sending the old Contact an undeliverable email.

You will generally find whatever you tackle first improves the most and whatever you tackle last improves the least.
