What is EOI ?

Electronic Object Identifier

EOI or Electronic Object Identifier is a unique identifier or series of numbers assigned to scholarly articles to ensure their International Standardization and for easier identification of published articles even if the metadata URL is changed.

A EOI is an abbreviation for "Electronic Object Identifier". EOIs identify content permanently. And as they are coupled with metadata, they can be modified over time to keep track of the locations and characteristics of the online/offline content they identify, both for publisher and authors.

Citefactor.org is the non-profit organization which designed/handles the guidelines for EOI process. Any member journal/publisher can provide EOI to its published online/offline content.

Within few weeks after generation, EOIs are directly tested via Google Search.
