Hello!

The latest update changed something so now whenever I open Spotify, the icon in the panel changes to the blue and white "window". From what I understand it's because that the icon in the desktop-file is called "spotify-client" while the exec-line contains only "spotify" (I read this somewhere, and it might be completely wrong). But I have the same/similar problem with Telegram, where I changed the systray icon from the blue one to a white one. And in the systray it shows the white icon, BUT also in the panel. So, I'm wondering, where do XFCE4 get the panel-icons from? Apparently it's not using the ones that is set in MenuLibre.

Then restart Spotify and you should see the icon in top left corner of the window, and also in the virtual desktop thingy (or whatever it's called) in the panel.

This also works with Telegram, if one doesn't get an icon for that app.

Apparently icons within the hicolor-folder in the home directory overrides the icons in /usr/share/icons. And the xfce4-panel - Window Menu uses either 16x16 or 32x32 icons.

I don't use snaps much and this is literally the first one that I'm going to keep using on a daily basis. The Internet says that the Linux client doesn't support this feature. Any thoughts and suggestions?

It doesn't look like spotify provides an icon (see xprop) and libwnck can't pick one out. I've used a script like this in the past to force icons to specific apps and it works with spotify (it requires xseticon which doesn't appear to be available in the ubuntu repositories so you may need to build it from source):

Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.

Hello! The android Spotify icon recently got updated with a black border. For anyone with a dark or black wallpaper, the icon now appears to be smaller than all the other icons on the phone because the black blends in the the backdrops, making it look really off-putting and out of place.

To any devs looking at this, this (should) be an easy fix! The Android Developer page outlines a "roundIcon" attribute (link) that should allow the regular, fully green icon to be used when a phone has circular icons set.

Do you have a long list of songs queued up on Spotify that you just haven't gotten around to listening to? If so, you're not alone. Many people use the queue feature on Spotify as a way to build a custom playlist of their favorite songs. But what do you do when you want to start fresh and clear out your queue? In this blog post, we will show you how to clear the Spotify queue in just a few easy steps!

To clear the queue on Spotify, you will need to follow a few simple steps. First, access the queue by clicking on the 'Queue' tab at the bottom of the Spotify window. The icon representing this looks like three horizontal lines also known as a hamburger menu. This will open up a list of all the songs that are currently queued up.

Keep in mind that the clear queue button appears when you have actually add songs to the queue and not the list of content that will be played next based on what you're currently listening to (next up) There is no way to clear the next up list unless you have turned off playback in your Spotify app settings

If you dont want to clear your entire Spotify app queue, then select the songs you would like to remove from the queue and hit the 'REMOVE' button on the bottom-right corner of the screen. If you're on the spotify desktop application, you'll need to right click next to each song and select 'Remove from queue'.

Finally, to clear your Spotify queue, simply click on the "X" button next to each song. This will delete that song from your queue and leave it empty. Congratulations! You have now cleared your Spotify queue!

The queue is a section on Spotify that allows users to create a playlist of songs they want to listen to. The queue can be accessed on the desktop app and the mobile app. To add songs to the queue, you can either drag and drop them into the spot or click on the + icon next to each song. The order of the songs in the queue can be changed by clicking and dragging them up or down. If you want to delete a song from the queue, hover over it and click on the x that appears. To clear out all of the songs from the queue, just click on the Clear button at the top of the page.

If you want to make spotify work even better, we suggest making use of IFTTT. With the spotify applet on IFTTT, you can add an extra layer of automation and control over your spotify experience. For instance, if you set up the spotify 'Queue Song' action, it will automatically add a song from spotify to your queue whenever it's triggered. This way, you won't have to manually add every single song one by one!

We hope this blog post was helpful for learning how to clear the Spotify queue! If you have any questions or need more help with this process, please don't hesitate to reach out for assistance. Happy listening!

There are couple of ways to resolve this, but mainly it is stated in the documentation. I assume you've already done the setup to use the FontAwesome icon from the package. From the codes of what you are trying to do, looks like you want to use the icon globally. However, I find it easier if I import it individually like this :

Okay, I'm being a little overdramatic. But in the process of swapping back from the Moto G Stylus 5G (and hey, you can read my review right now) back to the Pixel 8a, I realized Spotify had refreshed its app icon to better match how it appears on desktop. Unlike its previous iteration, which featured a black ring around the green icon, this new one removes the bezel altogether. It effectively makes the entire logo feel larger, and thanks to Spotify's very specific, borderline-radioactive shade of green, it's also far more likely to draw your eye to wherever it's pinned on your home screen.

It's also made worse by enabling dynamic themes. While most applications use darker icons on lighter backdrops, Spotify flips this, making its icon darker and the three lines within lighter (the opposite is true in dark mode). The result is, no matter how you have your Android home screen laid out, Spotify's icon sticks out among the rest of your apps. It's either an eye-catching shade of green without a break between it and your wallpaper, or a mismatched pair of colors compared to the rest of your Material You-supported icons.

It turns out Spotify's new icon doesn't perfectly follow icon shape guidelines, so if you change your launcher's shapes, misplaced black space reappears around the logo. I've updated our coverage. Thanks to commenter BroJac for pointing this out.

Backstage ships with a default theme with a light and dark mode variant. The themes are provided as a part of the @backstage/theme package, which also includes utilities for customizing the default theme, or creating completely new themes.

The easiest way to create a new theme is to use the createUnifiedTheme function exported by the @backstage/theme package. You can use it to override some basic parameters of the default theme such as the color palette and font.

If you want to utilize different or multiple fonts, then you can set the top level fontFamily to what you want for your body, and then override fontFamily in typography to control fonts for various headings.

Notice how the padding is getting its value from theme.spacing, that means that setting a value for spacing in your custom theme would affect this component padding property and the same goes for backgroundImage which uses theme.page.backgroundImage. However, the boxShadow property doesn't reference any value from the theme, that means that creating a custom theme wouldn't be enough to alter the box-shadow property or to add css rules that aren't already defined like a margin. For these cases you should also create an override.

You can also use another web image format such as PNG by importing it. To do this, place your new image into a new subdirectory such as src/components/Root/logo/my-company-logo.png, and then add this code: 152ee80cbc
