When I first got into running, I needed music to get through the long runs. I had an iPod mini loaded up with tunes. In winter, I kept the iPod in a jacket pocket. In summer, I had to pick up an arm band. As time passed, two things happened:

I was at the Chicago marathon race expo with my sister Judy. Judy is my source of information for new running gadgets because she works at Bushtukah, a locally owned sports store. She told me Garmin had a wrist GPS that could store and play music. Garmin had a booth at the expo, the perfect opportunity to check out my options.

What Can I Use To Download Free Music To My Phone

I waited patiently and sure enough in December the Spotify app was available for the 645. The first thing I discovered was most of the instructions and videos online for downloading music to your 645 do NOT apply to Spotify. All those instructions telling you to download your playlist to your computer and then connect the Garmin to the computer with the USB port do NOT apply to Spotify. Spotify has its own storage format. After watching several videos, downloading apps and playlists to my laptop to no avail, I got desperate and tried something completely insane: I downloaded and read the manual from the Garmin website. 5 minutes later I had downloaded my first playlist to my device. Scroll down for a summary of the steps to get Spotify working.

You can download your own music files (mp3) to the watch, but it is not possible to play anything without a premium subscription to Spotify, Deezer, etc. Big let down for the customer with such expensive watches like the Fenix 6s that I own.

To recognize songs better, Now Playing collects some info, like the percentage of times Now Playing correctly recognizes music. Now Playing only collects this info if you have shared usage and diagnostics with Google. Learn how to update your usage & diagnostic settings.

Thus with spotify phone app I'm able to find other devices on the wifi and play the music on the remote device(spotify firestick app) instead of my phone. So far I've had 0 luck trying to find a feature like this with Amazon Music.

For the Forerunner 245 Music, can you still control playback on your phone with the Spotify App installed on the watch? All of the online instructions guide you to music controls, but this defaults to Spotify playback from the watch.

This seems to work fine most of the time (sometimes my assistant enabled Bose speaker downright refuses to play explicit requests no matter the filter settings but I'm not asking about that device or problem), but around a month ago or so every time I asked for a song and then went to the YouTube music app from my phone I found that the music playing was being cast from my device.

This isn't a huge issue but it never happened before and it becomes a problem when I want to use my phone to play music either in earbuds or just using my built in speakers. Anything I do in the YouTube music app affects what is playing on the home speaker.

If I choose to stop casting the speaker stops playing music altogether. The only way I've found around this is to already be using the YouTube music app on my phone when I ask the home to play something, but as soon as I pause the music on my phone for more than a few seconds it connects automatically again.

same thing here, i tried the first thing with the cmd+options, closed finder, relaunched, that did nothing. now this second one, i have the new Imac M1 chip, and in music, and i DO NOT see anything called itunes, could you maybe do a screen shot or sum sum, PLEASE

I have tried every solution possible (shut off computer and phone restart, safe mode, etc, etc). I am not sure why but I synched through AppleTV app on my mac and it finally worked. I cannot explain why this has happened, I am not an expert, but, this worked for me, and I hope it's helpful to other.

Your second option worked perfectly for me (But a quicker fix that worked for me is: clicking on the iTunes Store, on the left hand side of the Music (iTunes) window, then clicking back on your phone.)

Connect your mobile phone to your TV and play your favourite music and podcasts to your heart's content. Enjoy the audio played through your TV with more depth, loudness and clarity than your phone's speakers for an enhanced sound experience.

I am trying to download music files to my Android phone so I can play them with a music app. I thought I had figured out a way on my old phone, but it does not seem to be working with my new model. I know there's a way. Can you guide me?

If I understand your need correctly, it seems that you wish to export music files from your Dropbox account and mobile app, locally to your phone, is that correct? If not, feel free to clarify and let me know more.

Yes it is a hot key, however, whatever music service was used last or if I had phone control set up as what was last used, then that is what pops up. As of now the only what I can find to switch between provider and phone control is only going through the menu and selecting which is preferred at that time. There is no quick select or option to separate them in widgets or controls. If anyone knows how to do this then please advise. Otherwise, Garmin please add an update for this.

When you hold DOWN button and open up the music player you can press and hold the UP-MENU button to directly jump to 'Music providers' menu where you can switch between the providers and the phone control.

Your Amazon Echo possesses many skills, but its ability to play music is among its most important. You can listen to music in a variety of ways, though the process will differ depending on whether you want to hear your own media library or stream songs from a specific service.

If you are looking to listen to music that you own, Amazon does not make it easy. Your best bet is to stream music from a computer or phone to your Echo over Bluetooth. You can also connect to a service like Plex to store your files on a home server.

While most of these services have premium subscription options, you do not need to pay in order to play music through your Echo device. If the service offers a free tier, you can still listen (in a limited capacity). Since Vevo presents music videos, you will need an Echo Show to use the service.

If you want to play music through your favorite streaming service, you first need to link it in the Alexa app. Open the app on a mobile device and go to More > Settings > Music & Podcasts. You will likely see Amazon Music listed there by default, alongside other services as well. Tap Link New Service to add a new service.

Once you finish adding your services, scroll to the bottom of the Music page in the Alexa app. You should see all the new services you previously added. You can open a streaming app and select your Echo as the destination to start listening or ask your Echo to play music by specifying the name of the service.

Select the service you wish to set as the default for music. Alexa even allows you to set a default station for artist and genre. This is a handy option if you want to tell Alexa to play music from an artist such as The Beatles or Beethoven, or a specific genre such as a rock or jazz station.

Now, when you ask Alexa to play a song, album, artist, genre, or station, you can simply tell Alexa what you want to play, and it will pull the music from the appropriate place without needing to specify the name of the service.

Instead of listening to music directly from your Amazon Echo device, you can stream songs from your mobile device or computer to the speaker through a Bluetooth connection. How you set this up will differ depending on the device you use.

With your phone or tablet nearby, say "Alexa, pair," and your Echo goes into pairing mode. Open the Bluetooth settings screen on your device and tap your Echo device (it should appear as Echo-XXX) when it shows up. Alexa will then announce the connection.

Alternatively, you can pair the Echo to your mobile device through the Alexa app. Go to Devices > Echo & Alexa and select the Echo you want to pair with your device. Under the Bluetooth Connections section for that device, tap Connect a device. Choose your phone or tablet, and your Echo is connected.

You can also stream music from a computer to your Echo device. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your PC, then go to the Amazon Alexa page and sign in with your Amazon account. Navigate to Settings and click the name of your Echo device. Select Bluetooth and click Pair a New Device.

Gabb Music is radio style music streaming service. It allows users to listen to curated music from millions of songs. Gabb Music allows customers up to 6 song skips per three hours and the ability to stream genres and curated mixes.

On Charge 6, use the YouTube Music controls app to control music playing in the YouTube Music app on your phone. Navigate between playlists, skip or replay songs, and adjust the volume from your tracker.

On certain Fitbit devices, use the Spotify app to control the music playing in the Spotify app on your phone, computer, or other Spotify Connect device. Navigate between playlists, like songs and switch between devices from your Fitbit device. To see which devices support the Spotify app, visit the Fitbit Gallery.
